One Medical Family Practice

I went to One Medical group website and booked a same day appointment online. When I looked up the address I notice that it was inside San Tan mall. I thought to myself oh boy a doctor's office inside the mall what kind of office is this going to be? As I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly guy who checked me in. As I sat down I noticed how well decorated the office was and how inviting it felt. I'm waiting for a medical assistant to come and get me out of the waiting room and take me back to the room but a medical assistant never came. The doctor came in less than 3 mins of me sitting down. He introduced himself and took me back to the room.

I would like to add that I have white coat syndrome. I know that it sounds silly to most but I fear doctors as most fear clowns or heights. I had a terrible tramatic experience in doctors offices when I was a child. I am usually one who likes to just get in and out as fast as possible and get it over with. With that being said I like to nitpick doctors offices to find a good excuse not to go back there. One Medical gave me absolutely nothing to dislike. From start to finish I dealt only with the doctor. Generally you get shuffled around to different people. Usually the doctor comes in checks you out for 5 or 10 minutes and then sends a medical assistant in for any treatment. At One Medical the doctor stays with you and even gave me my breathing treatment himself. After about an hour of sitting with the doctor I left and went home. I received an email FROM THE DOCTOR with a basic breakdown of what happened in the office and what meds he prescribed. I also replied to the email. The doctor responded to my email. ...wait he responded? Yes, he did and quickly. I can't believe the service they provide it is definitely 21st century care. I want to thank Dr. Ortiz for making me feel so comfortable it is actually the first time I have felt that way in a doctor's office I wish I could give you 10 stars instead on only 5. Your office has definitely gained a patient for life.
