Overall

The manager was completely rude ... I took a watch that was a gift in to have 3 links removed and she wouldn't help me. They wanted to charge me if I didn't go back home to get the receipt. I will never do business with this place again, absolutely terrible service and I will be returning said watch ... I see no reason for a place like this to profit off me.

Horrible store, repair and customer service

My husband upgraded my ring this year in February to a $3,000.00 Neil Lane. After sending it out for over 2 weeks to be resized the repair shop returned the ring with a completely loose center stone. Now this store is supposed to personally inspect the rings before calling the customer however we never received a call I had to call them and second I walked out of the store with the center diamond jingling in between the prongs. I did not notice it at first but later the same day when I was at home. I immediately called and went back in for them to send it out again for another two weeks. When the ring came back for the second time again they did not call me I had to call them well after another 2 weeks of waiting. Recent went in for my 6 month inspection and the center stone was yet again loose. They sent it off again for repair. Another 2 weeks and no phone call. I called verified with the manager that the ring was coming in and would call me later that night. NO call. I waited all day the next day and still NO call. I went in that evening to pick up my ring and the gentlemen advised me it's not in so he called the repair shop. It was then the repair shop advised him they broke the ring and needed to reorder a new stone or a new ring. Mind you no one call me or notified me the ring was damaged. After spending $3500.00 total on a ring and have all this happen it's completely unacceptable. I told the manager not to do anything I would be calling customer service for a refund and that I did not want to deal with Kay jewelers anymore. The next day I called customer care and spoke to three different people who agree with me all this is completely unacceptable and that they want to make it right and compensate me for the trouble. The last person I talked to said she needed to contact that stores district manger to discuss a refund and would call me back. Almost a week later and no call. I called them again and then informed me they can not do a refund. I spent 45 mins on the phone and all they offered me was an exchange at a JB Robinson store when all I want to to go to Jared in Naperville which is a sister store but highly recommended. And yet as of right now I'm waiting on a call back. Let's see if they call me.

Horrible Customer Service

My husband purchased my engagement ring from them. The ring had been sent back for repairs over 4 times when we finally were issued a replacement for the faulty ring. When I ordered my replacement, I was told it would be at the store in a month. I called a month later and was told "two more weeks" and called back then and was told "two more weeks.". I stopped by the store and spoke directly to the manager, who called me later and left me a voicemail that my ring would be in on a certain date, because she had checked with the special order team herself. Well that promise date came and went and I called the store a fourth time. Now they didn't know when my ring would be in. Go figure! When my ring finally arrived, they didn't even call me, even though I had left my name and number all four time I called and a fifth time when I went into the store. They decided to leave a message w my husband. When I went to pick up my ring that had finally arrived, the store manager wasted over 20 minutes of my time. She interrupted me twice while I was explaining my frustrations to her from this whole experience and didn't even remember our conversation we had face to face and the voicemail she left me prior. And the best part is that I didn't even get to take my ring with me that day because of all the paperwork she had to complete. I will NEVER spend one more dime of my money at this store. They thorough infuriated my husband and me past our breaking points.
