My priority package has sat since October 3rd at the GAITHERSBURG MD DISTRIBUTION CENTER. When I called to complain, I got a case number followed by an email stating the problem was resolved. It's October 12th, the package was not delivered to the City of Rockville, and I am told the case is resolved - terrible service!

Terrible delivery from this post office. While the staff at the office itself is cheerful, friendly and helpful, the mail delivery drivers are rude and careless. We constantly get other peoples' mail from addresses not even close by. Also, now they're refusing to deliver mail to our curbside mailbox because cars often park on the street - it's a public neighborhood street. They claim that if their driver can't drive from box to box without interruption and without getting out of their vehicle for "safety reasons", then they don't have to deliver the mail. What a crock. The Post Office Manager even suggested that I put up a "No Parking" sign to keep people from parking near my mailbox. This of course is illegal according to City Hall, which I informed of this.

This PO has a generally helpful staff at the location. Our regular mail carrier is excellent...he is helpful, friendly and does an excellent job. However, on his day off, it's a real crap shoot what type of mail carrier you are going to get. More than once I have been home all day, and yet went to get my mail from my roadside box and found a "we missed you" notice. So, some fat slob was too lazy to get out of their truck to deliver a package, meaning I then have to make a trip and pick it up at the PO. I strongly suspect that it was the same person each time. If a FedEx or UPS driver did this they would be fired immediately. Despite my complaints to the delivery supervisor at the PO, this problem continues.

We are applying for passport service, and were well attended to except a little bit of slwo, but still acceptable.

We have been going to this post office for the 15+ years we have lived here, and I have never run into a grumpy or mean postal employee. They all have been pleasant to deal with, punctual and knowledgable, and I can't ask for more!
