Kerrigan Paving & Tar Chip

Four years ago I had my driveway done. It still looks as if they did it yesterday. I am very satisfied with there work. The guys did a phenomenal job. Thanks Kerrigan!

Kerrigan Paving is hands down the best driveway contractor out there! They are very professional, friendly and were so concise, I recommend them to anyone that needs a paving contractor!

Was referred here from a friend & I have to admit they exceed my expectation. I request my part of my driveway to be fix, not only did they fix part of my driveway, they fixed more area of my driveway that needed a touch up for me with no charge wow thank you so much great customer services

I am very satisfied with every aspect of my experience with Kerrigan. The tar and chip process was thoroughly explained, the price was fair, and the job was promptly scheduled and executed. The end result looks great to me. The company owner appears to take pride in and stands by his work.

Stay clear of this bunch, just as mentioned below: Dishonest and terrible workmanship. I had an estimate from a reputable paving company and this bunch looked at it and promised to do exactly the same work including a trench drain in front of my 3 car garage. Not only did they not install a trench drain, their workmanship is garbage, terribly laid asphalt and a sprayed on "sealer" that they sprayed everywhere including the siding and garage doors of the garage. I wouldn't recommend these clowns to my worst enemy. I'd give them 0 stars if it was possible

After posting the original review in October, I was contacted by Ann Kerrigan, who explained that her brother saw this review and wished to "make things right". He did not want a bad review being posted and was willing to do what it took to "make me happy". I explained to Ann, as I did the day we discussed this issue, that all I wanted was the difference in what she was paid and what she was actually owed according to the square footage. She agreed to refund me the money. The refund did not come when she stated it would. She called over a week later to explain that she could not find my address and would send it out then. When I finally got the refund, it was in the form of a money order for the full amount.



I appreciate the refund, however, a lot of time, energy and frustration would have been avoided if she simply had of been honest at the time the transaction took place.



I updated this review to 3 stars because, at the behest of her brother, Ann made the effort to "make things right".







Estimate done by Jim Kerrigan, was given a quote for work requested. Did not call company back, waiting on estimates from other companies. His sister Ann shows up unannounced to give us an estimate. She does not inquire as to our specifics. Was given a quote by her that was $2200 less than her brother's. We thought she was offering a better deal to get our business since she said she would knock off an additional $500 if we would agree to have the driveway done the next day. We agreed. Said they would start by 10am next day. They showed up around 11 am. Showed Ann what I wanted. She said that would be another $400. Agreed. THEY SAT IN MY DRIVEWAY ALL DAY AND DID NOTHING. Stated they were waiting on a load of gravel to come from Gainsville since all the other company were closed at noon on Saturdays. They dropped a load of gravel finally at 9pm and left. Said they would be back Monday to finish. They did. However, Ann came out and stated that what they did was more than what I wanted and said we owed another $2000! I wasn't there to argue so my husband gave her the check. I called her back to determine what was $2000 more. She said there was over 1100 sq ft additional. I asked her to come measure and show me. She did and the area she measured was 55'X12' and then said that was actually 800 sq ft. I don't think she is a math scholar because that was actually 660 sq ft. She still insisted I owed the $2000 and "didn't know what we were going to do about this". I suggested she write me a check for the difference. She said her brother would not agree to that. She offerred me $200 back. Interestingly, when we wrote her the second check for $2000 she requested we make it out to her, rather than Jim Kerrigan paving as with the first check. Everything I questioned her about, she lied and tried to make excuses to cover her tracks. Buyer beware; they do NOT appear to be on the up and up. I can't speak to the quality of the driveway at this time. But I will update this review as needed to warns other about this shady business

Dishonest, overpriced, terrible workmanship. We were told that our driveway would be thoroughly cleaned and the sealant would be hand applied by brush but instead Kerrigan sprayed right over the moss and dirt. When confronted he took out a broom and brushed the coating to supposedly help it adhere but within weeks the sealant started to flake off. Such a huge waste of money, our driveway looks worse than before the work was done.

We gave this company $200 as deposit to do our driveway at our rental property while we are selling it on 10/1/11. 4 weeks later I called Ann and Jim and was told they had a family emergency. After 6 weeks, our house has been sold yet they still haven't come out to do it. I asked them to refund the money, they still haven't responded.



If you are the owner of the company, you know what I'm talking about and I would like to get the money back.
