Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores

I disagree with some of the previous reviews. In addition to the store having a huge selection of supplies for sewing, I have had interactions with friendly and helpful employees. I know the cutting counter does get busy, but you can take a number and browse elsewhee in the store until your number is called. Love the place! I go in at least once a week!

They have a lot products. Their customer service is terrible they employ old people that do not have any people skills and are very impatient with the costumer. I try to go to other stores all the time.I only go the Joann fabrics when I can not find what I need any place else in Gainesville Fl. The rudeness is constant is not some time it is always. Can the Joann corporation do something?

This store has lots of great items. One thing it doesn't have is good customer service. I have walked around 3 different times and not ONCE has anyone approached me and asked if I need help. I have found 2 great cashiers but the ladies that cut the fabric, unhelpful and condescending. I am Hispanic and notice that with others they smile and talk and even offer ideas. Racist? If you are looking for attentiveness and friendly staff, this is not the place to shop. If that isn't important to you, then this is a great place to go.

This new location is huge and very well organized. They have a very large selection of everything. The material prices seemed very high but I was able to find the materials I needed all at this location. $14 a yard for camouflage material is crazy. I bought 2 40x84 curtain panels in the same pattern and material for $19. But over all I was pleased with this visit.

Jo-ann do not give out full-time hours to black employees. I have been to a few stores. all around Florida and its the same thing. And Gainesville fla is no different yes they have like 3 Blacks just for" show". I'm will to bet not one of them is in any leadership role. GAINESVILLE, old store had one black person...what a joke! Jo-Ann's you need to give your black employees a chance to grow. I think jo-ann in Gainesville needs to be boycott and sued by they employees!!!!!
