Clear the Air Cooling & Heating

Called about two dozen different AC Companies and got around 6quotes. They told me they would be out with a four hour window of when they would arrive, I had scheduled 4 days ahead of time and they still didn't show up until the last 10min. Then I was lied to and was told that I needed to replaced both my air handler and outside unit that was only a year old.
They did not respect my time and were very unprofessional with scheduling and used "scare tactics" to try to make me purchase additional products that weren't necessary

I came home to an 87° oven on the 2nd floor of my house. The fan is on in the house but the outside compressor didn't turn on. Desperate for a solution, I found Clear the Air with numerous positive feedbacks on Yelp.

8:25 PM - I called the phone number expecting to leave a voice message. To my pleasant surprise, a "human" answered my call. I stated my current AC situation and I gladly accepted her offer to page the technician on-call.

8:30 PM - Within 5 minutes, Savannah called back and took note on my AC problem. I agreed to a $89 of assessment charge and asked for the technician to come out. She also send an e-mail that included a bio about Andrew, the technician coming my way.

9 PM - Andrew T. arrive in 30 minutes at my front door. He assessed the upstairs compressor and identified the blown capacitor ($224) and bad switch delay ($242). As the downstairs compressor kicked on, Andrew noted the noisy fan and went ahead assess the unit as well (I was going to ask him to do so anyway since he's here). The capacitor ($224) was functional but it was an undersize unit that was overworking inefficiently. Since it's been years since I have these units serviced, I bit the bullet after Andrew explained the charges on his iPad. Andrew installed the new parts while gave brief explanation on what he's doing. He also offered the annual service plan ($169 per unit/2 visits per yr) that I kindly declined. I stayed with him outside (88° with likely 100% humidity) the whole time while making myself useful by providing light with my iPhone :)

10 PM - work completed and payment submitted.



Despite paying close to $800 tonight, I appreciated Andrew's thoroughness and professionalism. Yes, $800 is likely at the higher end of cost for such AC repair. But as I am reclining in my bed upstairs typing this review with cool air blew at my feet, a solution to an emergency provided by a professional & courteous serviceman (Andrew was in the Marine Corp and served 2 tours in Iraq--pun intended) is well worth the money!

Leon of Clear the Air is wonderful! I had been experiencing a problem with my Heat Pump intermittantly and he was kind enough to come out and stay until the problem showed itself. Once he diagnosed the problem, he ordered the part and fixed the issue. Not only was Leon patient and very easy to speak with, he was very knowledgable. And a U.S. Veteran. So far, Clear the Air is a great company and they have great Technicians.

Andrew from Clear the Air was great from start to finish! He spoke to me in an easy to understand way and answered all of my questions. He is a US veteran as well... which I am happy to support with my business. He respected my home with the proper "clean" gear... and in the end let me know a detailed report of the condition on my A/C unit. I am happy and very impressed with my service!

Great service, great prices, great technician ( Andrew), great information, all in all a great experience! I would recomend this company to anyone looking for heating or cooling service!!

I had to replace my whole a/c system (downstairs) in my home.Out of four quotes I received from different companies Clear the Air impressed me the most, they are by far the most professional company. They made me feel like I was the only customer they had and I was top priority. Each step of the process was easy and made me feel comfortable. The pricing on the system and labor was the best one out of the four!

Justin was a huge help and was the main reason I chose Clear the Air. Andrew and James where extremely respectful of my home and family and did a great job installing my system!

James is a very professional technician; he was courteous and thorough during the annual inspection of my heating system. He explained what repairs were necessary and upgraded my service plan in an effort to save me money. I would highly recommend Clear the Air for A/C and Heating inspections and repairs. They are honest and service charges are reasonable.

Andrew was absolutely fantastic. When I called Clear the Air, the receptionist was sweet, understanding, and efficient. She setup the appointment and called later to see if I was home. She dispatched Andrew who was there on time. Andrew was very generous with his time and in fact when he left at 8pm, I suggested he goes home to get some rest as he worked non stop. He took as much time as needed to diagnose the problem, explain it to me, go over the paperwork, and said he will follow up.



This is service as it should be.

Andrew was fantastic. He arrived on time and did a thorough job, making sure to cover his boots when on the carpet. A replacement part was needed and he installed the new part the same day, fully explaining how much it would cost without pressure to get it done. He was even good with the family pet!

Tim came out and stayed the entire day trying to determine what went wrong with our air conditioning system. He then came back in the evening to discuss our options and prices and he stayed as long as we needed him. The entire Clear the Air Team was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

" I called around midnight and Tim was willing to come out around 3am. We ended up having him come at 10 the next morning and by the end of the day we had a brand new unit installed.
