Safe Place Mini Storage

Great move-in experience. No problems while property was stored. Just make sure you get everything in writing or dont count on the perks offered you at move-in.



I called around to different places when deciding on a storage unit. I called this one, was told a price, still called around. The manager called me back twice with specials AND told me that there was a moving truck available on property that I could use when I moved out (since I drove from another state I already had a moving truck with my property in it). That was my final deciding factor. Yay!



After about two months of rental, I was placed on the schedule to use the truck to pick up and move a desk into the storage unit. No problems when I requested at all. I was unable to keep that appointment. (btw, I made that appointment the evening before I was scheduled to use it)



I called a couple days later to reschedule and was told by the female manager that they had cracked down on policy and she would have to check. She asked if I used the truck to move-in, I told her no. She stated its a possibility then. Then I learned I would be moving my property out Feb 2, so I called to make an appointment to use the truck to move-out. The lady told me that was not an option. I told her that was not what I was told at move-in. She became very unpleasant to deal with.



I went into the office and spoke with the male manager. The male manager denied ever telling me that he said I could use the truck to move out. That it clearly says Move-in. I pointed out that not only did he tell me i could use the truck to move out, but that the female manager specifically asked if I used the truck to move-in and even said the policy had been "cracked down" upon.



I can completely understand policy changes and insurance issues. But dont stand there and tell me to that you didnt say something (in order to get business) when, in fact, you did.



But hey, you can rent the truck at $29.99 a day. I'll be giving UHAUL my money. And in six months when I need the storage unit again, I will not return here.
