We provide the same high quality health care to patients with or without insurance, charging those on our charity program a minimal fee based on household income. To qualify for the FCHC uninsured program household income must be less than 200% of the Federal Poverty level. Charity services for Medicaid and uninsured patients includes psychiatry services and nutritional counseling with a registered dietician.
Pediatric Care
Dr. Powell is the founder of FCHC and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Dr. Timothy Powell was the founding member of Fredericksburg Christian Health Center. His vision and leadership helped FCHC provide over 50,000 visits to uninsured patients, providing over 6 million dollars in charitable services from 2003 to 2020. We are grateful for his legacy and continued influence as a board member, guiding FCHC to be more than just a doctor's office but a ministry that facilitates healing in the entire community. He stopped working at FCHC in 2017 to pursue teaching at the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine, and joined the FCHC Board of Directors in 2020.
Primary Care
At Fredericksburg Christian Health Center, we provide primary care medical services to patients of all ages from newborns to centenarians (those who live to reach 100 years of age.) We provide care to patients with private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and Christian Health Sharing plans, and charity care to low-income patients who don’t have insurance.

The FCHC mission is to provide high quality healthcare to those who cannot afford it- ministering to body, mind, and spirit. We believe the body, mind, and spirit are intimately connected and injury in any area will affect the others. Consequently, addressing the mental health and emotional welfare of patients is essential to facilitate healing and wholeness.
Psychiatry
FCHC partners with Dr. Ben Crawford from Capeside Psychiatric to provide free telehealth appointments for uninsured patients. FCHC patients with private insurance and Medicare can also have easy access to tele-psychiatry through Capeside.

We're committed to doing our part by expanding our behavioral health services in 2023 and providing more resources for those struggling with mental health issues.
