Devinely Designed

We had a TERRIBLE experience with this business today. My sister liked a tea light holder that fits in the top of a wine bottle. They had several that were very nice. There was a significant difference in price. When we asked about that we were told that difference was because LOCAL artists made them and they set their own prices based on time and materials.

She ended up buying the one she really liked. It was wrapped in tissue paper and put in a bag at point of sale. We then went to the Fredricksberg pie company around the corner. She took the box out of the bag and in bold lettering it says MADE IN CHINA!!!!! I looked at it, shocked. We agreed that we NEVER wanted to buy anything made in China and that we had been told that a LOCAL ARTIST had created its product. We talked about what to do. We agreed she should return it.

We looked on Amazon and found that EXACT product for 50% less money than she had just spent!!! Local artist. This owner is a liar and a cheater!

We went back to the store within one hour of the purchase time to make the return. The clerk would not do a return and we asked him to call the owner. She said she would only do a store credit. Store credit for stuff made in China and lied about and overpriced in Texas. This is shameful. We will never be back to this store and her behavior casts a dark pall over the entire shopping experience in Fredricksberg.

Beware all of you! Do NOT go to D'vine Designs except to take pictures or get ideas. You can order EVERYTHING she sells for half off from Amazon if you want to support Chinese workers. If you want to Support LOCAL artists, go somewhere else where you won't be lied to and ripped off.
