Best Buy

We spent about $800 for a digital video camera. It didn't have an instruction manual or software so we call them. Their response? Call the manufacturer or go to their website to download it! Irritating but fine so we do. Still doesn't work. So we bring it back and some kid looks at it and says it looks fine and turns on. Of course it does at the store! So we go home and it records some videos. Great EXCEPT it won't back them up or copy to the PC or DVD!! Call JVC and they send me some patches. Still doesn't work and periodically randomly shuts off. Bring it back to Best Buy---now mind you we PAID $200 for the extended warrenty!!! Kid looks at it and says it turns on. I explain that we have had it for almost 6 months now and can't get a video to our PC that has sound or DVD. Also explain that things were missing out of the box and ask if it was a return. Oh no he says. We leave and I call the 800 number. Great customer service ( I am being sarcastic here) and they say "you have to bring it back to the store". GRRRRRRRRR!!! Went to Walmart today and bought a video camera for about 2/3rd the price of best buy, paid less than a $100 for the extended warrenty, and IT WORKS JUST FINE!!!!! I think Best Buy sold us a returned camera and we got screwed to the tune of $800!!! We are going to buy our flatscreen from Walmart now for Xmas!!!
