i used to live in Frederick (3years ago)when I was here. I used to hate ppl who work this store so I stoped shopping there and I moved to NC and came back Frederick 6months ago.the owner been changed. they very nice ppl !!now I luv to shopping in there:)

Beauty Max gets a thumbs-up rating! For a few weeks, I've noticed my hair was shedding. I waited to see if things would improve before I took my 1 hour and 30 mins hair-care travel to either the one store that carried my preferred products or make a hair appointment at my salon. Long story short, my preferred products were out of stock and I didn't go to the salon. 



While in pure desperation, I thought where I could find what my hair needed ASAP.  I happened upon Beauty Max located in Frederick, Maryland on West Patrick Street. 



They were, too, out of my product, but the owner said she would get it in for me.  She took my name and number down and promised to contact me when my items came in. 



Surprisingly, another representative by the name of Connie called me within 30 mins after leaving the store to followed up with my special hair-care needs. I was informed that my product was discontinued, but she provided alternatives about other great lines as they related to my specific hair-care needs and wants.



Now, usually, I would be completely unhappy to get this kind of news and probably wouldn't care what other lines was offered because I always have a clear knowledge of what I want before I make a purchase.  I'd rather walk out the store with nothing before I spend frivolously on any hair-care product costing me time and money and hope it works!    



Connie was professional, knowledgable, patient and friendly.  She suggested alternative product lines that I had prior knowledge and/or experience with. Therefore, I listened carefully to the additional product information she provided me.



Connie offered the type of consultation that customers have to either pay for, research tirelessly about,  or carve out productive time at a salon to get. 



This type of customer-retentive service is key to keeping customers coming back.  From the owner, to Connie, to the product lines offered in the store, all make a desirable difference.  A shopper can find just about any thing they need or want in an effort to maintain their beauty goals.  I will drive 30 mins to this location to acquire my hair products. You should too! 



Oh, and the Moroccan Oil product line I purchased at the recommendation of Connie are amazing! I've tried the oil treatment at my luxury in the past, too. Nevertheless, the recommendation per Connie, are priceless.

If you enjoy being treated badly, go to this store immediately.



The people working in the store are so focused on watching anyone that comes into the store that there is zero customer service.



If you do ask a question, be prepared to be treated rudely. The staff members seem very ill at ease with their clientele and do nothing to foster your business.



They will also make assumptions about what they think you can afford.



Avoid this place and either go online or elsewhere!



(This store seems to have changed ownership maybe twice since the last review but the service is still lacking.)
