University Lodge Motel

The bed bugs are still at this motel. Paid in the office for today then had to call the police as they tried to make us leave 4 hours later and all we had done today was sleep. Had to pay the office help/housekeeper another $30 to stay as a deposit. Five hours later the owner was beating on the door saying we had to leave for not paying. To make a long story short the housekeeper lives here and she had the money paid this am in her room but had admitted we had paid that to the police at 4:30 pm when they were here. She gave her employers the money back and he told us to stay and we were even as she had told my husband he owed more money but it had to be paid to her only. This place is a con, has bedbugs and the carpets were filthy when we got here. Not worth the $10 you save over much nicer and cleaner hotels. Invest in your health and pay the extra money.

stayed there and reported it being infested with bed bugs and was told by the manager "doesn't everybody??" when we ask for our money back she said it would cost us 102.00 for the one night in filth that we stayed. I called the health dept. and the manager started removing matresses from the other rooms. So then I called the police because she refused a refund and never offered another room or even removed the mattress we stayed on. The cop came in an saw them and I told him she refused to even give us the owners name and number. So the cop and the health dept told us to file a civil suit..we took pics..of the nasty conditions of the room and she then offered 40 dollars for our trouble....great place to stay huh????
