Orthodontics Exclusively

I recently lost my dental retainer and quickly needed to get a new one made before my teeth began to shift. I checked the orthodontists in the Fort Myers area and happened upon Dr. David Heald’s Orthodontics Exclusively office. I was impressed that they had three offices and had been in business for a reasonable number of years. I called and made an 11:30 AM appointment. I immediately wrote the time down to ensure that I had it correct. When I arrived, I was told by the young lady at the front desk that my appointment had been for 11:00 AM, I was late and would have to reschedule. When I told her that I was having surgery in a couple of days and could not be without a retainer any longer, I was then told that the doctor was not available. I decided to wait and see if they could squeeze me in. Then, the “unavailable” doctor proceeded to come out and told me to go an find another orthodontist. I was totally appalled, hurt, insulted, and the list of words goes on. Hoping that maybe I could make an appointment at one of their other offices. When I called the Cape Coral office, I was told that it was a quick procedure to simply make a mold and that they could fit me in that very afternoon. Relieved, I agreed but when I gave them my name, I was told they could not see me. Obviously, the doctor had called the other offices to ensure I was not allowed to make an appointment at any of their offices. I was unable to get any explanation for why I had obviously been ostracized. The haughty arrogance and abuse that I received at this dental office is beyond description. If this is how they treat their patients, I feel that other prospective patients should know how they work. Should you decide to make an appointment, you should know that you have been warned.
