DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!



I was given this plumber through old republic home warranty, and it has been hell ever since. We had a broken hot water pipe in our foundation. He comes out, takes a look, gives us his estimate, then says he will be back next week to fix. Next week comes and he says that this will now be a 2 day job and he wont be able to come back tomorrow so we need to reschedule. We say ok start as soon as you can. The day he's supposed to come back he doesn't even show up! we call him, no answer. days go by we contact old republic again and they say they got in touch with him and he will be out there next monday. No show. Again. We get home from work with a business card on our door from greg saying to call him because he's been trying to contact us but hasn't been able to get in touch. the next morning we call him, I say my name and my address and then he immediately hangs up! WTF? why tell me to call you if you're just going to hang up on me? anyway, terrible company, and greg is really just a horrible person in general. stay away. find a better plumber

On Aug 30 (Tues) – Contacted...

On Aug 30 (Tues) – Contacted Old Republic with 3 issues: Leaking bathroom sink in Jack and Jill Bathroom, Garbage Disposal not working and hot water handle for shower broken off but can still turn on/off. Contract given to Hill Family Plumbing and service set for Sept 1 8am-10am arrival time.

Sept 1 – Plumber arrives at 9:05am. Determines by 9:30 that all items need to be replaced. Contacts Old Republic (45 min on hold) and gets approval.

@11/11:30am – Arrives back with supplies and starts in bathroom.

1pm – Completed both bathroom and garbage disposal replacements.

2:30pm – States he has to go to lunch and I inform him I have to leave at 3;30 for work (mentioned this upon arrival as well) He continues working.

3:30pm – Informed he can’t fix the shower due to having universal handles and needs different handles. He does not put it back in working order. States will be Tuesday before he can fix it. He will have to get someone else out that knows how to deal with the handles since he doesn’t know exactly how to put them on.

I contact office and they state they are completely booked and I inform them I need this fixed due to company coming in for holiday weekend. I also tell them that I will be contacting Old Republic for work around.

Old Republic states since they started it, they need to finish it. They contact Hill Family and ask them to put me in if someone cancels and also to schedule for Tuesday.

Sept 2 – No contact made from Hill Family.

Sept 6 – No contact from Hill Family and I contact them at 5pm at the office and find out they were under impression I didn’t want them back. Greg Hill contacts me 30 min later stating it was a mix up and he would have someone out the next day.

Sept 7 – Mr Hill shows up and takes pictures of shower handle spots (guy from Sept 1 did same thing). States he will have to see what he can do and will get back to me Thurs or Fri.

Sept 8 – 5pm – I contact them and find out they will be out tomorrow.

Sept 9 – @4:30pm - Original guy shows up and states he has handle and instructions on how to install. Within an hour states he can’t figure it out and that he has been doing plumbing for 4 years but rarely does handles and will have to get Mr Hill our the next day who has been doing business for over 10 + years. I asked him where my shower head was, he looks in vehicle and states it will have to be replaced. He states he has called Mr Hill and left a voice mail for him about the issue.

Sept 10 – 3pm – I contact Mr Hill – he states he didn’t know there were any issues left un-resolved. That he would contact gentleman from yesterday and then get back to me.

Sept 12 – @12:30pm – Contact Mr Hill – He states he has my shower handles in his vehicle and he will be at my place that afternoon.

7pm – Contact Mr Hill due to no show – I get voicemail.

Sept 13 – 9am – Contact Old Republic, they contact him and he states “I was told he didn’t us back at his residence again” stated I said that on Sept 1.

Been reassigned to new company to complete by Old Republic.



So for 2 weeks I have been with only one shower in a 3 bedroom 2 bath house. The above shows how lazy and inconsiderate the company is towards it’s customer’s needs. They don’t care if you get things working or if things are fixed correctly. I would have been happy if this would have been completed but with 3 visit to my house, they could not put on some shower handles. This is the most frustrating experience I have ever had with a company.
