X-rays
A routine cleaning (prophylaxis) focuses on preventive dental care and the maintenance of healthy teeth and oral tissues by the removal of calculus, plaque, and common stains. Typically performed twice a year by a Registered Dental Hygienist, your “prophy” is completed in one appointment. At this appointment you’ll likely have an examination performed by the dentist and dental x-rays may be used to identify tooth decay and bone loss. Fluoride Treatment
Fluoride is naturally occurring in nature. With the correct amount, fluoride can help minimize the effects of acid on teeth which ultimately helps prevent cavities from starting. Townships often add fluoride to the drinking water to gain its oral health benefits, but families that get there water from a well or bottled water, often do not get enough fluoride. We strongly recommend the use of fluoride treatments for most patients as it can give a boost to your teeth to help prevent cavities and reduce sensitivity. Dental Bonding
Composite Filling or Dental Bonding – A composite filling is also known as a tooth colored filling since the material used in the filling can be closely matched to the color of your teeth. Composite fillings provide durability for small to medium cavities. They are also particularly well suited for treating front or highly visible teeth because of their natural look. A composite filling can be used to restore a cavity in a decaying tooth, to repair a chipped tooth or broken tooth, to replace amalgam fillings or for decreasing the gap between teeth with dental bonding.

Root Canal Treatment
A root canal becomes necessary when the pulp within the tooth becomes infected. This can be caused by trauma to the tooth, deep decay, cracks and chips, or repeated dental procedures on the tooth. Symptoms of the infection can be identified as a visible crack or damage to the tooth, swelling of the tissue near the tooth, sensitivity to temperature or pain in the tooth and gums.

When tooth loss becomes impossible to prevent, removable dentures are a suitable course of treatment for many people. Dentures are made to look as natural as possible. Dentures are made from a special acrylic base that helps prevent the denture from shrinking and warping.

Bill, born and raised in Fond du Lac, attended Indiana University for undergraduate studies in business, Finance and Management and then Marquette University for dental school. He and his wife Sarah were married in 1997 and have two daughters and a son. Dr. Bill has taken continuing education classes specializing in cosmetic dentistry, TMJ disorder, Invisalign, and laser treatment. He is active in local, state, and national dental organizations and is a member of the Wisconsin Dental Association (WDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
