Oral Cancer Screening
We use the VELscope Light to assist our patients during their oral cancer screening exam. The VELscope light is able to detect oral cancer up to two stages earlier than doctor’s hands or eyes. This exam usually lasts about two minutes, it’s noninvasive, provides very little discomfort, and it saves lives.

Teeth Cleaning
A: The brand of the toothbrush is not as critical as the type of bristle and the size of the brush's head. A soft toothbrush with a small head is recommended, because medium and hard brushes tend to cause irritation and contribute to the recession of the gums. On the other hand, a smaller brush allows you to get around each tooth more completely, and is less likely to injure your gums. It's unnecessary to scrub the teeth as long as you are brushing at least twice a day, and are visiting your dentist at least twice a year for regular dental cleanings.
Fluoride Treatment

Fillings
Resin Composite
The procedure can be direct or indirect. The direct technique usually involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. The indirect technique involves two appointments, because your veneers will be fabricated at a dental laboratory. At the first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory fabricated veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetically pleasing

Veneers are dental procedures in which a covering is placed over the visible area of imperfect teeth. Veneers are usually applied on the parts of the teeth that are visible when talking and smiling.
Crowns
It takes two appointments to restore a tooth with a crown. In the first step, all the decay is removed from the tooth and it is shaped to accept the crown. Then an impression is made of the tooth for use in fabricating a crown. Between the two visits the crown is made, usually of high-strength porcelain over gold alloy, all ceramic material, or gold. During this time a temporary crown is worn. In the second visit this temporary is removed, and the permanent crown is adjusted and cemented in place.

Dental bonding is performed by adhering a composite resin material to the front of a tooth. This procedure is performed to repair damage from decay, to alter the alignment of the teeth, close gaps, or simply for cosmetic purposes. First, the surface of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding. After which, a special gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer agent is used to adhere new material to the existing surface. The material itself is placed on the tooth and is hardened with intense light. Latter that composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a lustrous finish!

Gums, ligaments, and the bones around the teeth are referred to as the periodontium, and it forms the foundation for ones teeth. When the periodontium is not healthy, it jeopardizes the teeth just as a bad foundation would threaten the stability of a house. Signs of unhealthy periodontium and gum disease include: gums that are red and easily bleed, persistent bad breath, gums that are pulled away from the teeth, loose teeth, and changes in teeth position or bite. With proper care, it may be possible to return the gums to a healthy state. This is where appropriate gum treatments come in. These treatments usually involve a deep cleaning or root planning procedure that will be performed under a local anesthetic, along with antibiotic agents. If the gum disease is too severe, you might need to be referred to a periodontal surgery center.

Dentures
There are different types of dentures, but they share a common function: replace teeth that have been lost. When the bone structure around the roots of teeth is destroyed enough to loosen the teeth, and let them fall out, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk normally.
