My husband and I began taking our pets to Dr. McGrath in 2003. Dr. McGrath & her staff have always been compassionate and respectful. She understands that we are on a budget and clearly explains treatment options. I have complete confidence in Dr. McGrath to treat our 4-legged children!

Office visit was fine. New hospital is beautiful, impressive and clean. However, I am not going to continue going there due to the policy of insisting on boarding pets overnight (unattended after 5 pm when they close until the following morning when they open according to receptionist) after routine neutering. This doesn't seem to go along with the advertised 'compassionate care', nor does it go along with the fact that every other vet I called does not have that policy and felt it was not necessary. My questions about this were met with defensiveness and what I perceive as a lack of concern for my pet's needs, comfort and safety in this situation. I was not able to get an explanation as to why this policy would be in the best interest of my dog, not to mention, I certainly don't prefer to leave him if I don't have to or need. I wish them well, no hard feelings, but I won't be going back.
