The Mane Attraction

I have had the opportunity to have the owner Tricia to do my hair for over 25 years, it has been an honor to be apart of her clientel. Not only does she make your hair look great, but she also has the gift of making you feel special before you leave. She always makes you smile. All of the staff there are friendly and thoughtful. Thanks for all you do "The Maine Attraction". Keep up the good work of making customers feel beautified and at home. Your salon rocks !!!!!

I visited this location for the first time today. I was extremely optimistic about the chance to make this My salon I could go to whenever i needed any hair care. Unfortunately I left extremely unsatisfied. Upon waiting in the waiting area I was pleased at how friendly the ladies working at the front were. When my name was called i was taken to the back half of the salon where the younger girls seemed to be working. The girl i received seemed confused by my saying "trim and shape up". After she was done cutting about 1cm of my hair i took a look and saw that the back looked a wreck. My layer hadnt been shaped up like i had asked. When i said something about it she replied "what do you mean?" Oh... did i mention this was a dry cut...she never even offered to do a shampoo. So needless to say after she "shaped up" my layer I took at look and just gave up. This way by far the worst experience I've had at a salon as far as being satisfied with my hair. I ended up having to come home and fixed my hair because it was extremely uneven. I'm now having to use a big curling iron to curl my layers so no one notices how messed up it is. I would suggest the salons offer continuing education for new employees as well as informing clients that they will be taken care of by a newer employee so they can at least have to option to chose someone with more experience. As of now i will not be visiting this salon again.
