If you are looking for a Cat Hospital you can trust for your most beloved cat, this is the place I recommend over and over again. Dr. Akbawy is extremely knowledgeable, a highly skilled surgeon and reknowned dental veterinarian. He strongly promotes wellness exams and I can personally attest to his medical recommendations which prevented the occurance of more serious problems. The staff at Lincoln Avenue Cat Hospital are just wonderful. During two very bad storms when the hospital was closed, Tom met me there to administer fluids and antibiotics to my big boy Clyde. Linda would help me out on Sundays. Both Lucy and Taylor are very experienced and always so helpful. Everyone is so friendly and compassionate. Dr. Akbawy takes the time to explain every detail and he's always reachable for any emergency. He's taken in cats that other people have abandoned there because they are sick. He pursues other avenues when euthansia does not have to be an option. The Lincoln Avenue Cat Hospital is tops. If you want the best and someone you can trust for your beloved furry babies, Dr. Akbawy is the veterinarian for you. I was also elated when Dr. Akbawy opened up the Animal Hospital of Fairfield. A state-of-the-art facility to care for both cats, dogs, birds and other small animals in Fairfield. His dedicaiton, devotion and compassion to the field of veterinary medicine is unquestionable.

Caring, Loving, Knowledgable and Clean Cat Hospital
By linda b.
We recommend Lincoln Cat Hospital for your cats.
Dr. El Akbawy and Dr. Gonzales have cared for over 60 cats and kittens that have been in foster care for our animal welfare organization, Friends of Homeless Animals of No. N.J., Inc.
They have provided prompt, considerate and careful care for the oldest abandoned cat that needed dental care, as well as comprehensive well and sick care for the weak and strong kittens and adult cats.
They have even provided extensive intensive care for the sickest of our fosters, and walked one of them, Oreo, to the Rainbow Bridge when he was stricken with an incurrable form of anemia. He and his staff monitored Oreo, hand fed him, and petted him, kept him on warm water bottles and gave him fluids, antibiotics and vitamin shots. They permitted us to visit for long periods of time. We knew he could not be saved but did not want to put him to sleep if he wasn't suffering, and Dr. Akbawy respected our wishes. Dr. El Akbawy called me on Saturday afternoon, 3 hours past closing time to notify me that Oreo had passed away.
We have always recieved excellent service, and found the entire staff to be competent, caring lovers of cats.
The hospital has staffing at night for boarded animals, which is not available everywhere.
Dr. El Akbawy is a veterinary dental specialist, the only one in Northern NJ, and has provided dental care for several foster cats, even the seniors!
