Booked our kid for a week. A few days after booking, realized that we had a conflict with another family event. SpringHill wouldn't refund all of our money. Just another money grubbing religious organization.

Ok for starters let me just say this and know what kind of review your reading. This is a Christian camp. When I went I knew it was a Christian camp but I never knew how much of a Christian camp it was. Basically 3 hours of Christian stuff A DAY! This seems like an outrageous amount of time to be learning about god to be honest. I go to church every week and do I like it? Not really, but what kid does? Let me run down the whole day for you people. First you wake up at 7 get changed and go to breakfast and you pray before each meal. I have no problem with praying but the way they pray here you hold hand with all the kids in your cabin and hold it with fingers locked in with the person next to you. A little awkward right? Then you go to breakfast, the best part about the camp was the food by the way. Then when your done you go to bible study, about an hour long, and boring to be honest. Now it's off to the first activity. There are about 3-5 per day I believe. The activities are pretty fun depending on what one your at but after each activity you pray the same way and say how it relates to god, which is kinda weird but ok. Then you go to the trading post which is a store to waste parents money on candy and soda and souviners and stuff that's over priced and they say no food but really you can get food in they just want you to pay for their food. Now off to lunch, praying before again. Now one of the worst parts.... Time for focus. It's the worst. You are in this theater place were you listen to Christian rock music. Yippe! Then there is a play thing and you go into small group for a hour or a half hour talking about it. Off to the other activites of the day until dinner, praying after each one holding hands awkwardly. After diner is club, even more Christian rock music yippe with a live band and another play and more small group talk. I mean c'mon let us do FUN STUFF seriously . Then you go to take showers and for guys this sucks but not for girls. For me, a guy, we had to wait in a huge line for a shower that lasts less than 3 minutes if your lucky but girls I heard complaining about only getting like 8 minutes. Come on. Then you might have campfire were you get to sing sounds, even more awkward, and then go to bed, finally. If you think that this isn't going to be hardcore Christian stuff you are Wrong with a Capitol W. this camp is. Which if your intensely into god (which don't b all like, " oh this guy hates god hating on a Christian camp" I don't hate god, if I did I wouldn't have gone to this camp in the first place if I didn't expect at least a little involvement in god, so don't judge me based on that) is a good thing but most teens and kids aren't that much telling the truth. So I hope my inside info helps make a decision for you, thanks for reading

I went to SpringHill and it was by far the best week of my life. All the staff are so much to be around and are like the nicest people in the world. You can go up to them about anything. You do so much stuff from crud wars to tubing to blobbing to zip lining. You definitely keep busy. There are many different kinds of cabins that people can sleep in and they are all really cool and comfortable to sleep in. Also i connected with God on a deeper level while i was there. I even committed myself to him that week. So I think every one should go to SpringHill. One of the best places ever!
