La Cabana Restaurant

From the outside La Cabana looks rather like a hole in the wall. Once you're in you see it's so much more. The atmosphere is casual, but clean, bright, and cheerful. The food was offered at an excellent value especially considering the quantity and the quality.



My husband and I decided to try their enchiladas rancheras, which is served with a homemade mole sauce, and a variety platter. The mole was quite tasty but unlike the way some mexican restaurants use their sauces it accented rather than covered up the taste of the enchiladas. Even their chicken & beef appeaed to be prepared in the authentic manner, and was moist, juicy, tender. This is definately a place I'd return to try the rest of the menu.

If you haven't visited this restaurant, go for it. It is a true mexican experience. It is not mexican-american like Hacienda, so it is a different, acquired taste. If you truly love Mexican food, you will love this restaurant. Mucho Bueno!
