Monson Melisa DPM PC,

I visited with Dr. Monson back in April of 2013 regarding a neuroma and hammertoe. Upon looking at my foot...no x-rays mind you she informed me that the problem could be solved by throwing all my shoes out and getting wider shoes. At that point she traced my foot...showed me how to measure whether a shoe will fit...and handed me a catalog from which to purchase shoes wide enough. She then sent me out the door. I really struggled because if you look at my foot it really appears something isn't right. Well I set up another appointment for a second opinion at Slocum Center. The first thing they did was take an x-ray. I then saw a doctor...who took one look at the foot and said...there is absolutely nothing I can do for you , you need to be seen by a surgeon. I just returned from the surgeon and I have to have surgery sooner than later. I have 3 dislocated toes...my metatarsals need to shortened and I need to have my big toe fused. He also told me I could wear any shoe I wanted...as it wasn't caused by the shoes. So you make your decision.

Found Dr. Monson to be very professional in dealing with my foot problem. Her delivery of anesthetic was smooth and caused only minor discomfort. The procedure was quick and painless. Her pre-operative and post operative teaching was flawless. She welcomed any and all questions. Never felt rushed. Office staff was very professional, too. Will definately recommend her to all my family and friends.

This just goes to some doctor named Monson. "Lane County Podiatrists" makes is seem as if there is a large clinic or group of doctors. But it just goes to this one doctor's office. I am really offended that they have tried to fool me with this.

Dr. Monson has dogs in her clinic. And also a kennel for them built in the office. The whole place stank of dogs and they were barking so loud my 18 month old started crying. What kin of doctor has dogs in her office? I'm not going back there.

This ad is really dumb. The name makes it look like there is a bunch of foot docs working together but it's just the number for one doctor. Pretty stupid.
