Fairfield Village Apartments

Parking for guests is terrible. Manager says park on the street. But the two streets that are next to the apartment complex have no parking on them. One has to park almost a block away. Also the manager and her partner have three vehicles total. Her pickup truck and her husbands pickup truck take up one handicap parking spot and one non handicap parking spot that is assigned to the manager. The managers third vehicle a car takes up a handicap loading area that is clearly painted with diagonal lines as a loading zone. The loading zone is slanted as if it is made to also be a ramp for wheel chairs. Also There seems to be a problem as my friend had to move out after only 7 months because of neighbors kid pounding on the walls and three total neighbors (connecting apartments) complained about the heavy pounding on the wall so bad that one of the neighbors had to take his pictures off the walls as he was afraid they would fall and the glass would break. As we understand the manager has talked to the family 5 times that we know of. Yet finally since my friend is now moving the noise has almost stopped. When the kid heard my friend yell knock it off the kid started yelling really loud for about a week. There are 4 people (Latino) living in this 1 bedroom apartment where the noise comes from. I think that is not legal. Others have been evicted but these seem to be in favor with the manager. Go figure? This apartment complex has a high turnover rate for tenants. You can hear what people are saying below or above you. You can hear the pipes when the water is on and the toilet flushing is loud. From what we can understand the HUD-VASH team is aware of the issues with the manager and the noise. They have taken the matter into advisement to prevent future loss of homeless vets having to leave because of lack of action to evict a neighbor who causes problems. One more thing. This is a family apartment complex. The children slam the front and back doors. If your in an apartment you can feel that on the floor so bad that it makes you think some thing fell on the floor like a bowling ball. Cheap apartments and cheaply built.
