Medical Business Associates was founded in 1985 by Ronald W. Meyer and Lynne Meyer to provide medical insurance claims management services to individuals, physicians, bank trust departments and attorneys. By the end of 1986, MBA's first year of operation, the company had acquired 120 individual clients, five bank trust departments and several attorneys. While new and innovative, the response was clearly successful. In 1987 MBA acquired two physician clients and has since focused on the every-growing and demanding needs of this market. While the service of individuals remained a vital portion of our business for many years, the ever changing health insurance market eventually made this service obsolete. In 2005, MBA made the decision to phase out this service and focus completely on our physician customer base. In response to our clients' growing demands, we now offer our expertise through our newly expanded credentialing service and our consulting services, encompassing financial, coding and operations consulting. Business Philosophy Our philosophy is to provide the highest quality billing service to medical providers. We invest heavily in our staff and in technology. The management team spends enormous amounts of time in training our staff on the ever-changing rules and regulations that surround this industry. Our focus is on quality, not quantity. When was the last time you had a conversation with the President of your powerhouse medical billing company? Large companies simply cannot provide the personal relationship that we believe is necessary in this business. We believe that consistent, controlled growth results in happier and more satisfied clients than the rapid growth model.
