Well, I really wanted to give this place a 5 star review but could not. First problem was the food - it was terrible. I ordered a shrimp cocktail. The shrimp was not fresh at all, in fact, I am 99% positive that it was precooked. It was dry, tasteless and rubbery - bummer. My husband ordered a fish dish. Wow was it salty and way over-spiced.



They placed the salad in the same plate as the fish and beans, not good at all.



The waitresses handed the plates directly to the customers rather than setting them on the table. The utensils were placed on the plate with the food rather than on a napkin on the table.



There is no "Please Wait to be Seated" sign in the entryway, so the host/owner's first interaction with the customer is to place his hand up in a stopping motion and ask the customer to step back toward the entryway they came though and wait there.



The reason I gave it 3 stars is the atmosphere - truly authentic. Live mariachi, soccer on the TVs, the waitresses are awesome. Very fun night!



If the owner would get some really good cooks in this place and re-train the waitresses this place would be "the place to go" and not just the new place to try.

we tried to eat there last night but since the hosts decided to seat three groups that arrived after us. one of the groups was greeted buy a waiter who was their uncle so they got seated immediately. then the host had the nerve to try to give us a small cramped table literally two feet from the entrance we opted to leave. i am very disappointing. it seems that the want to cater to the drinking crowd since the bar takes up about a quarter of the floor area, but that night there were only 4 people at the bar. we ended up eating popusas around the courner at a place that know how to take care of customers

We went to Mariscos for the first and only time! The food looked fantastic, however, the filete empanizado had absolutely no taste. It was horrible! the Lemonade was really just water with lime squeezed in. The Brochetas de Camaron - can't believe they serve food that tastes this bad.
