Glaucoma — Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases characterized by damage to the optic nerve resulting in loss of peripheral (side) vision. If left untreated, glaucoma can lead to total blindness. Cataracts

Dr. DeMaio is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist. He completed his Ophthalmology training in 1996 at the M.S Hershey Medical Center. He received his Batchelor’s degree (BS) in Biochemistry from Albright College in 1988 and received his Medical Degree (MD) from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia in 1992. He specializes in General Ophthalmology with a primary focus of Cataract Surgery, and he also performs diabetic, glaucoma, and general eye care. He and his wife Sarah reside in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Eye Exam
The doctors at Bouquet Mulligan DeMaio follow American Optometric Association (AOA) guidelines in recommending that your child’s first eye exam occur at 6 months, with additional exams at 1 and between 5 and 6 years of age. After age 6, exams should be scheduled every one to two years, based on your doctor’s recommendation.
