I have been getting migraine head aches for years. They come and go, normally lasting for 5-7 days at a time. I have tried every migraine medicine on the market, the one that sees to work the best, is not covered by my UPMC insurance. The medication is $175 for 6 tablets...so I lived with the headaches...until now. I was referred to Dr. Kelley at Absolute Back & Health Center. I was very nervous about seeing a chiropractor, but was willing to try anything to get relief from the headaches. I called for an appointment and explained my situation, Dr. Kelley fit me into his schedule the same day. As I was filling out the patient forms, I was still nervous and thought about leaving, but Dr. Kelley sat down with me and asked me a series of questions and reassured me that I had nothing to be nervous about, he would do his best to help. Dr. Kelley took me into the treatment room, asked a few more questions, then began the treatment. He explained everything that he was going to do and talked to me like a regular person using terms that I was able to understand. The treatment started with a massage and a a muscle stimulator machine that relaxed the muscles in my neck, then it was time for the actual adjustment...Dr. Kelley told me that I would hear some cracking, but reassured me that he was not going to hurt me. I laid on the table, he lifted my head, felt my neck, a couple twists to the right and to the left (along with a lot of cracking) and he was finished. The cracking actually felt good. He helped me off the table, and by the time I stood up, I had already felt relief...within 15 minutes, my headache was gone! I could not believe that I have suffered all these years with the migraine headaches and within 15 minutes Dr. Kelley made it go away! My insurance cover 25 yearly visits, so I can go 2 times a month if needed. I am going to schedule 2 adjustments a month to ensure that I never get another migraine. Thank you Dr. Kelley. Anyone who is suffering from headaches, or any type of bone or muscle aches should give Dr. Kelley a call. You may be living with pain that can be cured if a 15 minute treatment.
