Talk about quick and responsive service - Five-Star Locksmith Shop is the best! Thomas got there right on time! Maintained a great communication via phone during the day of the appointment. Once he got there, it only took him 15 minutes to rekey the lock. Hes a total pro and knew exactly what he was doing. He was extremely helpful and even patiently answered the million questions I bombarded him with (unnecessary questions, of course) pertaining to rekeying. I got it all done at an excellent price. Wanted a master key system for my home and called these guys from Five-Star Locksmith Shop! After a quick round of questions, Mark from Five-Star Locksmith Shop told me that I shouldnt opt for one. I had a tendency of losing keys which is why I wanted it in the first place. But Mark figured that Id be putting my homes security at risk if I end up losing the master key. I was only giving him business, and he could have easily gone ahead with the request, but he didnt! Im stunned beyond words! We all need an honest locksmith like Mark in our lives.Btw, as a solution to my problems, Mark did suggest I get a number-pad lock. Having locked myself out of my place on an icy cold night, I was ecstatic to hear that they could come rescue me in 20 minutes!! John came promptly and had me in in no time. It was never made clear to me how that's supposed to work - one guy actually said, "Uh, maybe someone stands by the door at home." So anyway, I asked one store if they could refer a company who does onsite service. They did, and I got a quote for about $350. Five-Star Locksmith Shop - who I found on here - was able to do it for half that. They were helpful, patient, and clear. Okay, I joined Online tonight just to leave this review. The dispatcher and David the locksmith were both awesome, really helpful and nice. It took about 20 minutes for him to arrive, and he explained each method he tried, and some information about my type of lock. The last time I had to have a lock opened, the guy took one look at my door (same one) and told me it had to be drilled, then charged $200 to do it. I was left with the replacement bill from my landlord, too. I told the Five-Star Locksmith Shop folks about this, and they confirmed it's a common scam. Just wanted to add another well-deserved 5 star review to the bunch. I chose Five-Star Locksmith Shop because of the Online reviews and in a few hours I was all set up with a new deadbolt lock on my door, hassle free. A few things I want to highlight: - Competitive and reasonable prices. - Fast <I called, made an appointment for 2 hours later, he came and did it in 15 minutes> - Great service from start to finish (friendly and accommodating on the phone, explained to me what he was going to do, and swept up all the drill dust on the floor after he finished) - Five-Star Locksmith Shop is the company to call when you need a locksmith service.

Turning my key upon returning home, the cylinder surrounding the key popped out. Pins went flying everywhere. My jaw dropped--locks aren't supposed to just break! But within five minutes, I'd regained my composure well enough to do a quick search online. Five-Star Locksmith Shop came out at the top of my list, so I called and spoke to possibly the most pleasant professional ever. Our locksmith was out at the time, but he set an appointment for a few hours later and even showed up a few minutes early. He was visibly competent and worked fast, all while keeping up a friendly conversation and explaining what he was doing. Even though it turned out we needed to replace the whole lock, the total price was still well within reach. He even accepted our credit card via an app on his iPhone. Highly recommended.
