Let me just first say that I read all the online reviews and was a little hesitant to even go into the shop. I went by and they were closed so I peeked in the window. I saw a nice clean shop with quality looking merchandise on the shelves. I'm assuming the bad reviews were from someone who was disgruntled because they no way reflect the store or my experience. I too was helped by Jesse and one of the mechanics. They took care of me like I was a pre-existing long time customer...very helpful very friendly. I left there with an awesome quality RC car that I am totally happy with. I look forward to going back and giving them more business and just chatting with them. Awesome store, awesome people...thanks guys!

Stay Away From This Shop!!! Bought a Truck From Them & Wanted To Sell It Back BRAND NEW SEALED in Box and they did not want to buy it back because they already have 1. thats stupid! "Chuy" the boss of the shop clearly dosnt know how to manage a business! Ill Make Sure They Wont get any good business!

These guys are crooks!! STAY away!! Most of the stuff they sell is off brand JUNK!! And when it does not work they make excuses why they wont take it back.

Horrible shop, will never buy from them again. Bought a radio from them, was not working and they would NOT take it back. Not to mention the guys working there are tools and arrogant little punks.

I've stopped by many hobby shops always showing interest in RC car, but I was never really given the time until I went to Downey hobbies. I bought my first RC car this week because I finally understood how everything worked, thanks to Jesse. I'm a customer for life!
