Summer Wood Townhomes

My family moved here in Aug of 2013! It's very quite and people are very nice! It's in a great location! Not far from the mall, grocery store and schools. I do wish we had a play ground for the kids, but they make do! The play ball and other games in the big field! All the employees are great and helpful! If your looking to be in town but away from the hustle and bustle this is the place!!

I lived at these aparments for about 4 years, and I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anybody. Especially if your black. I had three sets of neighbors that were interacial couples, and within a year they all moved. The manager didn't want the kids(even though they could swim) to be @ the pool. And all of the playground equipment was removed and the basketball court(ya know black people like to ball). The rent was $340.00 when I first moved in, when I left it was $500.00. If anything was brought up about somebody doing something, she didn't investigate, they were just evicted. You couldn't have parties, yardsales, or get togethers without somebody complaining. Alabama is a beautiful state with a lot of redneck, stupid, childish, prejudice, people that need to grow the hell up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've lived here at sumerwood for quite some time now, and I really enjoy it. It's deff. the best apartment/townhouse I have lived in, being in Alabama. Compared to Fieldcrest I would deff give them 5/5 stars. Joyce, which is the property manager is always a sweetheart. She's always willing to listen and help. Bill the maintence man is very friendly with everyone, and willing to work out a time which fits your schduel as well as his. The neighbors are very quiet, and friendly when you do see them. The parking can be aggravating, being people switch places all the time. I think a numbered parking would better suit this neighborhood, but it works fine the way it is as well. Just don't expect to park in one place all the time. The townhomes are nice. They are all 2 bedroom 1 and a half baths. There's some things that are wrong, as with every place, but if you don't like it, they'll usually fix it at your request. Anyways, I give this place a 5/5 ... =)
