1st Medical Urgent-Family Care

I used to go there all the time for simple stuff like hormone replacement prescriptions, and antibiotics for a chest infection from smoking...., and I waited for hours and hours...but now I have a regular MD and I just try to wait until I can get to him or go to the ER at the Medical Center. I went there twice and was sent to another place. One time, I had a huge splinter in my hand, and they didn't take me, the other time, they were not taking any more patients that day and sent me down the road to another urgent care place....So I am not interested in going back. I remember way back in the 1990s when I went there, I would tell them what I thought was wrong with me, they would take me on back, but if I didn't think I knew what was wrong, I would wait hours....and just leave and go to the ER. Parking is very good,, and the location is very good. The receptionist not so good. The place is very nice from the outside but needs a facelift inside.

I called for an appointment. They said be there in 15 minutes. We ended up waiting 2 hours 45 min to be called back. Another 35 min in room only to have the dr spend about 5 minutes with my son. They charged us $133.00, and didn't even diagnose him right. I spent two weeks treating him for one thing while he was getting worse. To make matters worse he was contagious this whole time, Without my knowledge. I had been told he wasn't contagious .

Unprofessional is the only comment for this sad practice.

The nurse put on a display of unprofessionalism for the people in the waiting area when arguing with a patient. Then the doctor spent maybe 2-3 min with my child , a new patient by the way . I couldn't get any questions in ! The doctor seemed like he did not want to be there at all ! I will not go back.

Very caring staff. Helped us feel at home. Sometimes a little wait when they are busy but very well worth the wait. I will certainly go back
