J & J Tire Repair

DO NOT GO here for anything! I went there just to get an already fixed tired filled with air. Less than 2 minutes worth of work and this man who smelled like booze with blood shot eyes fills my tire and tells me $50. I said said NO WAY!. I was ready to call the police on the spot because I was not going to be ripped off. He then lowered it to $20 which was still a rip off. A good shop would have done this for free or charge a nominal fee of $5 or something. This guy has major issues and should not be trusted. I guess it was my own fault for not asking a price ahead of him putting air in my tire. Dishonest people like this give Americans a bad name.

Expensive tire repair shop. $25 to get a tire plugged. Most small shops in Chicago will have you out of there for $10 or under for the same work. All the while, the guy working on the car will tell you how he's basically working for tips and how he's short on cash. Not the most comfortable place to go. If I had to pay $25 for some quick work like this, I'd rather just go to a Sears or Firestone and get the quality and professional service that comes along with it.



Jus my opinion, I'd stay away from this place.

They stole some items from my car and they performed a bad service.

I had to pay extra money to fix what they broke in my car.

After having my rims changed in that place I started hearing some cracking sounds every time I turned to the left, I decided to have someone else to inspect it. And I found out that after removing the cutting pins they put nails instead of cutting pins. Can you imagine how safety they left my car? Bad service I don't recommend it. As far as know they stole some tools from my car and worse they almost put my life on risk.

I bought used tires. I was charged $30 for each (which I did not know at the time was high.) I had to bring a tire back because it went flat that night. I just found out he did not balance the tires and that the tires were terrible. They were not rotated so I would use a different part than the old user. One had a crack. Both were in horrible shape. I didn't know better when I got them, but my husband say they were not that great. When my husband called to tell him that the tires were no good he didn't say much, just kinda disagreed with him. When I replaced them with new ones the tire place I went to said they were garbage and that it was a complete rip off. Even my husband didn't realize how bad the tires were. They had golf ball sized bubbles in them after we used them for a month.
