Golden Greek Restaurant

We have always enjoyed this restaurant until last night. When the prime rib did not come cooked as ordered, the kitchen REFUSED to cut another piece. We were told point blank that we could not have a different piece. We were told that the meat was right, as if we don't know what we like, and that it was the lighting that made it look as if it was well done. The manager actually expected us to get up and go into the kitchen, so we could view the prime rib under those lights. I am amazed that they were so willing to lose 2 regular customers over one piece of meat, but we will never be back.

The golden greek used to be a good restaurant. Tonight I had the worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant in my life. The salad bar was not fresh or replenished. The manhattan clam chower was like spaghetti sauce with clams. My boy friend and I ordered surf and turf. The steak was horrible. On top of that it took us 15 minutes to finally recieve our bill and then another 20 for it to be processed. Our waitress was not very friendly at all. I will never go here again. You definitely pay way too much for the service and the meal.

I recently visited the Golden Greek Restaurant for my aunties 90th birthday celebration. The staff had set up the sun room magnificently with table cloths, dark burgundy place settings and included a cake and gift table. Everyone was friendly and warm which made our experience comfortable and lovely. The food was excellent in everyway. Tasty, delicious and so many options to choose from. To this day our family and friends rave about our time at the Golden Greek Restaurant and our wonderful time on such a special day. We look forward to dining there again and again for more fantastic memories. Thank you to everyone at the Golden Greek restaurant!

I find that instead of being reliably good (like it used to be) the Golden Greek is now hit or miss. They often have some really great specials and some of their regular meals are awesome, but I've found that depending on how busy they are they often do a crappy job in the execution (overcooked meats, sloppy presentation, poor portion sizes, etc). I'd suggest the best time to go would be during a time when they are steadily busy, but not so busy that there is a huge wait, say supper time on a Wednesday or Thursday night.



On the other hand, I love their salad bar and rolls, the appetizers are usually delicious, and the wait staff is almost always on task and polite (though when its busy there never seems to be enough wait staff).
