Southeastern Exterminating

I got Southeastern Exterminating because my builder chose them. I was ok for about 2 years until now. I am looking for a new company for terminate control. Southeastern Exterminating is no longer spraying the house, they are only working as an insurance company, plus they raised their prices about $100 as David mentioned below. I asked them for a quote to treat the foundation of the house due to a new regulation from EPA they are not allowed to spray the around the houses. I called them on Monday and the receptionist told me that the manager and owner has to check on my quote and will call me back. 2 days later still no quote no call. I guess they are not interested on the business or they might not even have the permits, God knows! I am looking for another company now. Good bye Southeastern Exterminating!

Customer service is 0 with this company. The also just went up 135.00 on their termite bond with no notice.

We were paying customers and have paid for many years. Times got very hard over the last 2 years and we were late on payments but always paid our annual payment in full. They mailed us a termination notice and then demanded full payment at the time of the inspection. I told them I would go elsewhere and they were okay with that. Amazing! You're getting paid in full annually and could have a life long customer and you decide to be a bully instead. "The customer is always right" doesn't apply to these folks. They apparently don't need our business and don't care to lose it either. Wow!

Southeastern was our termite company because they did the initial treatment for our builder. We've never had any termite problems but this year the price of our bond DOUBLED without apology or explanation beyond our house now being 4 years old instead of 1-3 years old. The person I talked to about this on the phone was cold, unsympathetic, and seemed not to care at all when I said we'd be switching companies.

I would not recommend this company to anyone! New folks to the area, don't be persuaded by their smooth talking and thinking this "local" company will stand behind you. After 17 years of so-called coverage, our home was dropped, with no presence of termites! I was told that I was not being renewed because of a "change in policy" and conditions were "conducive" for termites. My goodness, we live in South Alabama, what areas aren't conducive for termites.



Don't waste your time and money. Do yourself a favor and talk to a reputable company.

DO NOT USE THIS PEST COMPANY! We we were locked into using this company for a termite bond due our builder. The short version of our experience:

Unprofesssional, limited knowledge and training, poor buisness dealings=not honorable



Our home suffered termite damage discovered not by the "professionals" at SE but by one of our children due to crumbling bedroom flooring. It took FOREVER for the 2 foot x 2 foot square to be replaced (nearly 9 weeks total...and the quarter round looks as though one of my children cut it and installed it...)



We were still uneasy about being "termite free" even after this repair. We are fortunate enough to have ORKIN for our home exterminating service. The TRAINED EXPERT from Orkin noticed additional damage in ANOTHER part of our home that the untrained folks at SE thought was just some concrete sludge. (an aside...the folks at SE were so impressed witth the gent from Orkin that after attempting to cause me to disbelieve him they later attempted to HIRE HIM AWAY FROM ORKIN because they were so IMPRESSED WITH HIS TRAINING). There are several homes in the region that are falling under termite attack that were "treated and maintained" by SE.



We were "non renewed" by SE. We are going with ORKIN. We are ECSTATIC to actually have scientifically proven, professional, punctual service. Just know that all you get with SE Exterminating is a bill, a piece of worthless paper and a pie crust promise that they'll be there tomorrow.
