Hudgens & Associates LLC is a Martindale Hubbell AV rated law firm with lawyers licensed in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana. The firm handles complex commercial transactions, litigation, and related matters. We have represented sellers and purchasers in asset and stock sales and borrowers and lenders in all aspects of complex commercial loans. In addition to routine corporate matters, we have represented shareholders, directors, and other owners and managers in major transactions, the removal of dysfunctional boards of directors, and other internal disputes. Our real estate practice has included the sale and acquisition of commercial properties, land use regulation matters, and development of residential, commercial, and mixed-use subdivisions and condominiums. We have prepared and negotiated major construction contracts and litigated construction disputes ranging from construction defects to the scope of contracts and defaults in performance. We handle multi-million dollar collection litigation and bankruptcies; real property title disputes, trespass and adverse possession claims, lien disputes, and unlawful detainer; contract interpretation and default disputes. Our attorneys have written and litigated the legality of disadvantaged business enterprises programs and have assisted clients in qualifying for and obtaining contracts under such programs.
