Certain services at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center When you get services from an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, certain providers there may be out-of-network. In these cases, the most those providers can bill you is your plan’s in-network cost-sharing amount. Kristy W. Barrentine, a registered nurse since 2004, has practiced as a nurse practitioner since 2009. Over her career span, Kristy’s professional clinical focus has been spine treatment, with experience in both neurosurgery and interventional pain management. Kristy began working with Dr. Charles Gordon, The Spine Institute at Baldwin Bone & Joint in May of 2020.
Arthroscopy
Patients may also be referred to a foot and ankle surgeon for proper diagnosis and treatment of heel pain (such as a consequence from plantar heel fasciitis), nerve disorders (such as tarsal tunnel syndrome) and tumors of the foot and ankle. Ankle arthroscopy (the use of a laparoscope in foot and ankle surgical procedures) have emerged as prominent tools in foot and ankle care.
