I took my mom in to Emergency yesterday cause she had a lot of blood in her urine . Heres the treatment she got :

1. Put in a cubicle that was so cold it was ridiculous. The door was propped open by a chair . I removed the chair to sit down and the door closes shut.
2. She was yelling for a nurse to give her some blankets and no one came . Nurses were within 30 feet . I had to round up a nurse to bring some and it took forever... then she just tosses them on the bottom corner of the bed.
3. She was left in urinated street clothes for 3 hours and never changed out of them into scrubs.
4. When released, they never removed the sticky dots that held the monitoring wires to her chest . They never removed the catheter from her arm and left the needle in her arm too. She removed it when she got home.
5. They were so shorthanded that a guy had to transfer my mom to another portable bed for the CTR Scan , so he bound up her bed sheet and hoisted her onto another bed by himself .
6. They move slow as if they have a morale problem .

DO NOT go here unless you only have minutes to live. Its painfully obvious their standards are low and their staff needs proper training

Great hospital! Doctors were wonderful as well as the nurses. I've been to other hospitals for a chronic medical condition and I've waited in the ER sometimes up to 10 hours. Not here. I was seen by the ER doc, then the Hospitalist and taken up to my room after some tests in the ER. I started to feel better that night. Everyone explained everything, which is a first.

horrible they won't care for you if no insurance and they will send you out

Went there today because I was experiencing pain when I pressed down on my stomach the doctor didn't do any test just felt on my abdomen they were supposed to do a CT scan or ultra sound they didn't he said he be right back came in and was billing saying for them to proceed I would have to pay 400 dollars I'm gonna report them because they are rude I went there before and they said they were gonna put me on a iv just to draw blood I didn't refuse I said go head and do it the lady said hold on walked out came in and discharged me without me signing any paperwork or signing a refusal the lady said we discharged you and you would have to go up front and get charged another bill so I left they call me the next day trying to ask me how was my visit I said horrible

Do not go to this hospital. They will overcharge by a huge amount. New Choice Health lists average price of a cardiovascular stress test at around 8,000. They charged 25,000. Niceville isn't too much further away.

I went to the emergency room for what was a minor issue. If the sickness doesn't kill you their bills will. The most overcharge bills I've ever seen in my life. Over $10000 to tell me I have a stomach virus.
