Overall

Not worth the money - mediocre bland food with bad service

Table was wobbly, asked for something to steady it and was ignored, i ordered the chicken parm and bit into a bone on my first bite...and the sauce was bland

They have what seems to be a b...

They have what seems to be a big facility but do not have the racks full of delicious goodies. There seems to be a great deal of empty space but with the markets now having their own bakeries, competition is in full swing. Everything is tasty. They don't make any and everything but again the pastries and breads they do sell is very good. Just make sure they use a wax paper instead of their hands!

THIS BAKERY HAS BEEN AROUND FOR OVER 50 YEARS, FROM THE 4 BROTHERS NOW TO THE NEW OWNER ONE OF THE BROTHER'S DAUGHTERS NOTHING HAS CHANGED. EVERYTHING IS STILL MADE THE OLD WAY FROM SCRATCH.YOU CAN TELL JUST BY LOOKING AT THE PASTRY,COOKIES.PIES,ITALIAN BREAD,ROLLS,AND QUITE POSSIBLY THE BEST WHIPPED CREAM CAKES IN RHODE ISLAND.OH YES I FORGOT TO MENTION THE ST. JOSEPH'S DAY TRADITION THE ZEPPOLE WITH THE ITALIAN CREAM THEY ARE TO DIE FOR,IF YOU'VE NEVER HAD ONE FROM SOLITRO'S YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL.THEY ALSO HAVE THE OTHER TRADITIONAL ITAILIAN PASTRY,CANNOLI'S ECLAIRS,SFOUGHATELLE,ALL IN MINIATURE.AND FOR CHRISTMAS THE HARD ALMOND CANDY TORRONE,AND AN OLD TIME FAVORITE STROUFALLE WHICH IS LITTLE BALLS OF FRIED DOUGH AND ALMOND SMOTHERED IN HONEY.WELL I MADE MYSELF HUNGRY,PLEASE GO SEE ELENA AT SOLITRO'S YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED.
