David was awesome. He knew everything about anything to do with a house. I was very impressed on how thorough he was and how much he really cared about making sure I knew exactly what he was doing and looking at. I felt very confident that he had my best interests at heart on what i needed to know about the house. Since im not someone that knows anything about houses and how to maintain a house he would explaing in detail whatever i needed to know and wanted me to make sure that I knew I could still contact him for any questions after he leaves my home.



Without a doubt would reccommend him to anyone. If you want something done right you get the best and he is the best!

david came to inspect hopefully my future home and was great.we were verry nervous as we are first time home buyers.he quickly eased our fears as he was very freindly and polite.the inspection went so easy from there because he was extremely thorough and informative.he was perhaps the most professional person we have met during this whole proccess.also he came out to inspect our home on his birthday and if that wasnt impressive enough, he then spent his own time educating us on future remedies and maintences. we will be refering him to everyone we know and hope to work with him again in the future.

Dave was our inspector. I believe he went above and beyond!! He deserves alot more than 5 stars. Dave told us how to fix things and also told us what he would do. We definately learned alot from Dave!! This will be the first home we purchase and I would highly reccomend Advantage Home Inspection!!

STOP LOOKING FOR AN INSPECTOR, THIS IS THE ONE!!!! Professional, early to the appointment and completely prepared. We bought new construction and every one advised us that an inspection was a waste of money but Dave found an issue that would have costed us thousands of dollars and our heath in the near future if not corrected. He not only completed the most thorough inspection we could have ever asked for but he also stopped to teach us things for the future. I would recommend him to all of my family and friends and WILL be using Advantage the next time I buy a home!

I chose Advantage Home Inspection even though my realtor didn't suggest them because of the reviews i saw on this site. And he was just as good as advertised on here. I'm purchasing my first home and David made things very simple for me and educated me a lot on things I that I would need to do to help maintain my home and things not even related to the inspection itself. He was very very thorough and extremely knowledgeable about everything home related. I highly recommend him to anyone in the market for a home inspector. His prices were very competitive and worth every cent. Very nice guy and was very helpful.

David was fantastic. I've had 3 other inspections by 3 different companies and I thought they were ok but David was so thorough and knowledgeable I am grateful that we used him for our "forever home". He even climbed into the attic via the scuttle and checked it out extensively. He explained everything to me, even tips to fix simple problems and keep our house in good order. The radon and pest inspection included in the price made it an incredible value. We would highly recommend David and advantage home inspection to anyone buying a house.

David with advantage home inspections was more than wonderful. I am 8 months pregnant and he saved us a lot of headaches with buying a house. He is extremely knowledgable on every aspect of the house, he goes through your house with a fine tooth comb and gives you every detail. David was great and took the time to answer any questions that we had and to explain issues to us that we did not understand. I would recommend Advantage Home Inspection to anyone that needs a home inspection done. I am in the process of purchasing my first home and had Advantage Home Inspection inspect the property. Dave was very easy to get along with and exceptionally knowledgeable and thorough in all areas. I was extremely pleased with his work and what he was able to provide me with. He typed up a detailed report including pictures of everything that he found in the house that was an issue and had it emailed to me that same day. As I have never purchased a property before, I was very nervous during the home inspection to say the least. Dave assured me that these issues were normal and almost every house has something that comes up in a home inspection. Due to his extremely awesome inspection I was able to have the seller of the house fix the major issues. This was the best money that I have ever spent and I hope to work with Dave again in the future. Dave was very thorough. He walked me through the house while he looked at pretty much everything. He pointed out areas of interest, potential problem areas and things I should be aware of as he was inspecting. He was easy to talk to and explained everything he found and educated me about the issues he found and things i should keep an eye on in the future. He took many pictures and documented everything. He spent about 2 hours going through a 1 floor home. The inspection report was exceptional. Very detailed, And contained pictures with each topic. I would highly recommend.

I recently moved to San Diego and purchased a house in October. Not having many resources to look to for inspection resources, I first looked at Angie's List and then Better Business Bureau. Advantage Home Inspection came highly recommended by both organizations. I can attest that the reviews I read on both sites, were true!



Michael Jones was my inspector and he was prompt, knowledgeable and thorough. Additionally, Michael went above and beyond in assisting me after my house closing when my insurance company threatened to cancel my insurance due to lack of proof of the house being bolted to the foundation. The builder had misplaced the paperwork, the city could only show approved inspections, and the insurance company would do nothing but ask for further proof. I contacted Michael, looking for suggestions, on how best to proceed. He not only provided suggestions but came to my home again, at no cost, to do a second inspection. I am pleased to report that he not only located the anchor bolts, but also took photopraphs to prove to my insurer of their presence. His report was sent to me in less than 8 hours! Such amazing service! Thank you Michael and thank you Advantage Home Inspection!

Advantage Home Inspection (Dave) was referred to me by a co-worker who recently used his services. My co-worker told me that Dave was very thorough, had a good sense of humor and he offered better rates than other home inspectors in the area. I decided to do some research and came across these outstanding reviews and decided we would give him a try...and boy are we happy we did! As first-time home buyers we did not know what to expect, but what we got far exceeded any expectations we had. Dave was everything my co-worker described and more. He was professional, experienced, knowledgeable and took the time to educate us about our home. He explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it, and also took the time to answer our questions and concerns. Dave gave us an honest ,fair and very thorough inspection. He was friendly, courteous, funny and provided a lot of helpful suggestions. We are also new parents to a 6 month old baby girl and we felt Dave truly took our well-being and hers into consideration and wanted to make sure we were getting the best and safest house for our money. Dave G is an exceptional home inspector. He was thorough in every regard, and did a great job educating us about all aspects of the home we were purchasing. Being longtime NYCers owning apartments/condos, my wife and I were a little nervous of the prospects of buying our first single-family home. The house we settled on has/had tremendous potential, but a number of inspections issues - most minor, but a couple major ones too.

David did a wonderful job with our inspection. He was even willing to come out to the house on a cold February morning at 9am! The inspection took a couple of hours but he was incredibly detailed and knowledgeable. He gave us tips on home repairs, maintenance, and upkeep and was very helpful. He made sure he did a great job and we are happy we went with David.

I went through a really long, confusing short sale process with many specifications from the bank on repairs and deadlines for repairs to be made. David explained every aspect of what he was doing in basic terms so that I could understand the workings of the house. He took his time at my house and didn't rush me. I called him many times after the inspection took place with questions about the house that I thought of later and forgot to ask. He was incredibly patient and returned my calls promptly.

David had to do a second inspection once the repairs had been made at the bank's request. He caught a major installation issue with the new radon mitigation system that had just been installed and I was able to get it fixed before the closing. He didn't have to check the system as it wasn't on the list of things he needed to sign off on but he did anyway just to be safe and ended up saving me a lot of time. He even spoke to the radon mitigation company and explained what exactly needed to be corrected on the radon mitigation system.

Due to the time constraints of the short sale's closing-he was incredibly flexible as to when he did the inspections. He worked around my schedule. I just recently recommended him to my sister-in-law who's in the process of buying her first house and I'm sure she'll be as happy with his work as I was.

I just finished the inspection with Dave a little while ago and Dave was really great! He was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had and even caught the fact that I was pretending to understand some of the things he was saying, and explained them to me. Plus he does a FREE!! radon test with a home inspection. Dave happened to be lower than the other quotes that I got, and he blew me away with his professionalism and knowledge. He was also VERY helpful by fitting me into his busy schedule and had an appointment just 2 days after I called. I definitely recommend Dave. I'm buying my first house and Dave really helped make this process better, and let me rest assure that my future home is safe.

First of all, I never write reviews for anything, but I had to in this case. If you are like me, and want to know EVERYTHING that is wrong with a house before you buy it, use this service!!! Dave was outstanding! He was always on time (he was already at the house before the agent and I could get there), very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and very thorough. He is someone with the experience and integrity you need to help you through the very stressful time of buying a house. He looks out for your best interest (not the seller or the agent's, who try to ram the sale through despite code violations, so they can make their money and leave you with major problems in the future), and that kind of "piece of mind" is priceless! His inspections are very thorough, and he is always happy to explain what problems exist with the home, or some that may arise in the future. I couldn't be happier with my selection of Advantage Home Inspection, and I STRONGLY recommend doing a secondary follow-up inspection. Its an inexpensive piece of mind that came in handy, when Dave alerted to me that the seller's contractor did not repair everything that was on the request list, while my agent just wanted me to "trust" the seller. Do yourself a favor and give Dave a call. It was the best thing I did searching for a house, because while the agents are looking out for their own best interests, Dave is looking out for yours!
