Sad to say, I also fell for Right Choice Pools trap. I wish I would have done my research before. Ended up firing them, and finish with a real, honest pool company. Horrible experience, and nightmare!

Permits were never pulled, no work was done on our property, no materials ordered, and Matt Barrass at Right Choice Pools will not return our $8k+ deposits. He has a record of this, and when he owned another company, he was fined by the State Licensing Board (DBPR) for taking deposits, then abandoning the job. This can be verified by searching on the DBPR website under unlicensed activity and entering his last name. Or you may email me at my address above and I will forward the official document to you. This is a horrible company owned by a person who can't keep his lies straight. Multiple complaints filed with the BBB, lawsuits pending in every south FL county. He is also NOT A LICENSED CONTRACTOR, and operates under his brother's license.

Thanks to Matt and the Gang at Right Choice Pools & Spas for helping make a dream come true for my family. I contacted 2 pool companies and after meeting with Matt, Nancy, and Lisa; I was convinced I made the right choice. Matt was committed from day one and stayed on target with every phase of my pool. His staff was very professional and committed. Thanks again your company is the best serving with integrity and thriving to please your customers. Hire this company RCP pool in good faith, but they can't still deliver after 10 months..they come to work one day every 2 weeks or 3..really an horrible experience, the crazy owner Matt, never came once to the site to hear my concerns and damages caused by his wokers
they just hassle for money and fake excuses

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, the owner is a scammer and cone artist, he forfeit my deposit after I cancel is Mickey Mouse contract
I did review some online history and I found out the owner has so many complains from history and past companies, he doesn't have his own licenses you can check it on myfloridalicense site, he using his brother license there are good companies out there JUST STAY A WAY from him and his company!!!
I wish I could give him Minus -5 Stars One star for him is too much!

I have never encountered such an unprofessional, deceptive, and unethical company as RCP. Most, if not all of the 5 star reviews are written by Matt or one of his cronies. Don't you find it odd that this company only has stellar 5 star ratings, or horrible 1 star ratings? There are too many issues we had with them on which to elaborate. To make it short and simple...think of everything that goes into having a pool/patio redone...EACH step of the way, there were issues...Oh, except when he wanted us to pay him.

Great Experience! We needed our pool remodeled and we were very skeptical of who to hire. We couldn't be any happier with our decision. We hired Right Choice Pools & Spas and the project was completed in the amount of time Matt, the owner, promissed us and the final result is beautiful. Great job.

Matt Barass from RCP oversells and under delivers. He's dishonest, rude, manipulative and a pathological liar! Matt never comes to superviseMatt's workers lie to him and he backs them up; accusing the customer of lying and always being wrong. He has a one sided contract that he hides behind... Only 8 hrs of digging is covered, be ware that you can get charged for 50 hrs of "fake hours" worked at $400/hr.... All for encountering sand and water in Florida! What a big surprise! He can charge you for a "small access" then charges you up to $5000 for "mini access".... (Even though they sold me the pool after shooting a videotape of my backyard!)
Also, he will take over a year to built a pool and blame everything under the sun but his own incompetence... With RCP the customer is always wrong!
After all, Right Choice Pools and Spas is "an innocent family operated Pool Company" who acts like the mafia through extortion, manipulation and threats. In my opinion RCP is the WRONG CHOICE!!!

Right Choice pools built an incredible pool. Always answered the phone and responded promptly to any concerns. As a small business owner, I really appreciated the extra attention to detail. Thank you, Right Choice Pools for building my dream pool.

Just finished our pool this week. We are finally swimming. Thank you guys. I wish the building department was a little faster and better quality inspectors. Other than that, the company has been good to us and the communication was superb. We chose rcp solely on a referral from my husband's coworker. Listen to your friends when it comes to purchasing decisions!

I had a great experience with this company. We had four proposals for an inground swimming pool and we went with a company that had the best quality price ratio. Our pool took 5 months to be built from A to Z and the management and especially Matt and Nancy have been great to us. My husband and I decided to go for a better quality product versus the many companies that offered us a lower price for generic products but that just us everybody is different.

If you are a glutton for punishment this is the company for you. If you are ok with horrible communication, this is the company for you. If you are ok with an owner who is completely disconnected, rude, with zero managerial skills, this is the company for you. If you are ok with ok quality work for a premium price, this is the company for you. Big talk for little return

I had a good experience with this company. I had bought a home in WPB and needed to put a pool before moving in. It was great doing business with Matt.

We live in Parkland and we felt comfortable hiring a nearby company. The owner lives in a neighboring community and showed us a few pools they built nearby. Besides the mess that building a swimming pool involves, everything was ok, I guess. I am not sure what to report other than we are swimming and it works fine. The pool was built from January until April 2015. Thank you

My experience with this company was FANTASTIC, even with all my changes along the way, everything went PERFECT.....I am so very happy with them.....Thanks ****. Highly recommended, 5 stars from me.

I am surprised about some of the negative reviews. These people at right choice pools were amazing to us. They even gave us some free upgrades because of a small delay we had that wasn't even their fault! I loved Nancy who helped us pick up our tile and our designer Jared (spelling?) designed the most wonderful pool. Thank you.

This is the WRONG CHOICE for anyone wanting a pool. These people (the owner, especially) are deceitful in their offers and charges. You will be lured into building your pool with them under false pretenses. They take FOREVER to get your pool done and they send ONE worker at a time (two at the most). Very cheap labor!!! The owner, Matt, is rude, disrespectful, and borderline aggressive when there is a disagreement regarding payments. And of course, his only witness is his wife. DO NOT GO INTO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Never got permits, never got a pool and did not get any money back. STAY AWAY!

I agree with chip.halbauer STAY AWAY AWAY FROM Matt Barrass and his company, he using with his brother GC license, he is unreliable he has anger management issue and he is a liar, we signed on contract that was unclear with lots of trust and found out many details are missing and he had very poor presentation for the work we suppose to do. We did BIG MISTAKE, he didn't have even referral from past clients, all review you see about him and his company I believe posted by friends and relative.I wish I could post negative star, there is good pool company and driveway out there do more home work before you sign and save yourself and money from this company.
