The function of the Conyers Human Resources department is the strategic and operational management of activities designed to enhance the performance of the human resources operation in the city government. The department administers a wide range of human resource services, including personnel development and program implementation. In addition, the department oversees and services all activities designed to improve recruitment and retention of productive, competent, motivated customer-focused employees. The department executes a number of specific support services, including organizational advice and guidance, recruitment and staffing, compensation oversight, benefits administration, training and safety programs, legal and regulatory compliance, performance management and employee relations. The department is also responsible for the management of the human resources information system and all relevant records and files.
