Had a great experience working alongside Neil and his crew. They helped me build a beautiful deck, where I now spend a lot of my mornings. I gave them a few of my ideas, and they helped me visualize it while combining some of their ideas. When they were done building the deck, I was very impressed and I can definitely say that they went beyond my expectations. They were all very professional and friendly. When we finally had the means to have a deck constructed, we immediately searched online and asked around for trusted home improvement contractors. Among the list of companies we had, Eckhoff Construction stood out, and they were also recommended to us by a friend. So, we gave them a call and had the assessment arranged. When they came in, they were very professional and answered all our questions. It was not difficult for us to close the deal, because we already knew that they were the ones we needed. In an industry that can be tough to get to pick up the phone at times I found Neil's communication to be top notch compared to other contractors I've worked with. He communicated quickly by phone and email and had a bid to me right away after meeting to discuss my needs. His bid by far had the most professional presentation complete with a cad drawing of exactly what we discussed and very fine details of the materials he planned to use.



I had to take Neil's breakdown to the other contractor I was receiving a bid from to compare materials and craftsmanship as the other contractor's bid was vague and without any imagery. In the end I found that while the other contractor's bid was less, the materials and the way in which they were going to build it was of an inferior quality. When we compared a like for like job the bids were close enough for comfort so I chose Eckhoff for the superior build.



In the end I chose to go with Eckhoff over Columbia Deck and Fence because of Neil's commitment to using the best materials and craftmanship. They completed the deck quickly, cleaned up every night before leaving and the deck looks better then the drawing. It was evident throughout the whole process that Neil and his crew were students of their trade and not just slapping up a deck to make buck.
