Beware ordering fish on the hibachi! According to a very rude manager last night the fish on the hibachi (except the salmon, maybe), is typically frozen and not fresh. That was a surprise to me at a sushi restaurant, but when I asked for my mahi mahi to be cooked rare, I was told it could not be fixed that way as it was not sushi grade fish. Had I been told that the hibachi fish was not first quality, I certainly would have ordered something else. And the food was in general over salty and not very flavorful, including the over cooked shrimp appetizer. I would have given the place two stars except for the rude manager I spoke to on the phone after getting home. I was with a large party from work, so complaining didn't seem appropriate while at the restaurant. But the manager on duty around 9P on 6/2/2014 was extremely rude on the phone with me. Kept asking what I wanted when I really wanted an apology, an offer to update how orders are taken for fish at the hibachi and perhaps an offer of a remade meal. But no offers, just a very rude "what do you want" and no apology until I said a good manager will start with an apology and not "what do you want?"

The sushi is always fresh and tasty. They have some good combinations and the prices will not leave your wallet bleeding. However, my husband and I love this place for their TRADITIONAL Japanese food. They have an assortment of Udons, katsus, and tempuras that will make anyone NOT wanting a hibatchi plate happy. I will say their katsu is hit or miss (the only reason this isnt a 5 star rating). IT is also nice that you can get the hibatchi in the general dinning room so if you have mixed appatites in your bunch and do not mind missing "the show" everyone can get what they want. But overall the place is comfortable, affordable, and we have never left unsatisfied.

I do not eat Sushi so cannot comment on that. The Hibachi grill is great. You pick what type of meat you want - steak, chicken, salmon, fillet minion. The chef comes by and makes it right in front of you. Great tasting fried rice and steak (what I had). Great atmosphere.
