They refused to fix an issue after a storm, sent out a maintenance man that lied to me and them, and it was fixed for 40 days, only after I filed a complaint with a government agency. Then, they tried terminating our monthly lease in retaliation. That violates the Tennessee landlord tenant act, which is why we didn't have to move!

I complained to them about my neighbors smoking weed outside and harassing me and the neighbors spoke with the owner and i receive a notice to vacate. No proof, no police report. The property manager won't speak with me even when I take time from work and my schedule to go to the office. Wont answer the phone but sends an email after I decide to leave. Also, Trying to keep my deposit. STAY AWAY THEY SHOULD BE BLACKLISTED

I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I checked their BBB rating and complaints after I signed my lease. I lived in he house for 4 years. I left after the yard became infested with snakes and I was simply told they don't handle pest. The infestation started after a tree service cut down trees behind the house and wasn't caused by me. I put in my 30 day notice to leave after other work orders went uncompleted. The office lost their set of keys to the house so I had to be there for showings. 34 days after leaving I still haven't received my security deposit back. There response was the lease states 45 days which isn't true. If you want to be treated like garbage rent from them. There main interest is getting paid and you won't matter.

DON'T do it......I rented from them a few years ago and paid to get out of the lease because they're terrible, switched companies and was happy for years and then buyers and Harvey bought the new apartment complex right before I moved, messed up the paperwork, tried charging me thousands in late fees for money they said I didn't owe, tried changing my rent mid lease, and then (big shocker) kept the whole deposit and I still owed another $100 after the inspector said I should have received $200 back from the deposit, I'm overjoyed to be done with them. Do it if you want to buy you'll regret it

I always recommend Byers and Harvey. Pam Wilson is great. There are some untrustworthy rental companies in town that I would recommend to stay away from. Very happy now! I've been with them for almost 10 years renting out two houses through them. Everything has worked out well.

My Husband and I have been renting from Byers and Harvey for 4 months and I made the decision to not rent from them ever again after only the second month. We were in a bit of a time restraint to get moved and the house had the amenities we needed. I filled out the inspection necessary before moving in. The house was absolutely filthy. The homeowner refused to paint before we moved in so I have to live with walls riddled with holes and painted over wallpaper boarders in the bedrooms. Drawers have broken tracks, the hinges on cabinets are broken. Who ever they're using to clean the properties should be fired. I spent two days cleaning baseboards, removing cob webs, cleaning grout, washing light fixtures. Simple things that should be expected. I have accepted these facts and moved on. What has induced this review is the carpenter bee and spider problem that has developed in the spring months. My husband and I have tried remedies for the problem, so I called them. I was told, "that's your responsibility, just like the yard." If this were a problem with cockroaches, something that would have to be caused by the tenants, I would understand. This is a pest, similar to termites, that can and will alter the structural integrity of this house. This is MY PROBLEM?



Byers and Harvey is a greedy, lazy company. They have low standards and place the repercussions of those low standards on their tenants. Do not use their services to manage your property or rent a property. They're just not worth it.

I DO NOT recommend this company. After FOUR attempts to get in touch with Pam, supposedly their lady over properties, we still never spoke with anyone. On the fourth visit, we were treated like statues in their office. Everyone sort of just stared at us like we weren't supposed to be there or something. We were interested in them renting out OUR property. We were there to make them money, and they blew us off like garbage.



I would not recommend using them for sales, rental or anything else! Do your research, there are tons of other companies in the area that will treat you the way you deserve!

This place is ridiculous. We came here looking to employ them to be property managers of our house since we're moving to Kansas. We were instructed to wait to talk to Pam which we did for over an hour. People would walk in without an appointment and walk in with her ahead of us. I know this because I went up to the front desk and asked what the deal was. We weren't impressed and they didn't inspire the best of confidence. We left and are going with TopFlite.

I'm not one to leave reviews because i feel they really dont do any good but after a year of dealing with this office i felt a need to speak. Avoid doing business with this office at all costs! You'll notice that the MAJORITY of the reviews for this office are NEGATIVE. For good reason based on my experience with them. Pam Wilson started out as a very nice caring agent when we first thought of listing our home for rent with Byers and Harvey (Classic salesman mentality I guess). Once we decided to go with her and she got our business everything changed. It has been one thing or another since the first month she got a renter for our home. Everything is a convenient excuse with her. Communication is horrible. She hardly follows up on email requests. She seems to represent the Renters more than us?! We told her limit of one dog....she conveniently over looks the renters have 2 dogs. We have to practically stay on top of her to keep us informed with any work being done to our house that will effect rent payment coming in. She favors the renters over us...her clients! Recently, received payment that was way less than what should've been now waiting to hear the excuse. I will Never deal with this office and will tell everyone to go elsewhere. Getting our house back at the end of July...thus ought to be interesting. Expecting the worse because that's what I've learned to expect thus past year. Never again. Lack of respect earns you nothing in the business world.

Never will I rent or buy. These people never helped with any problems. Then when you move out they try to keep as much as your money as the can. There to big to care about the "little" people. Plus ther staff have a personality of a stump.
