So Disapointed

I am a single mother. I wanted to support a local business. Did not work out well. I bought a used washer and dryer set from them. I made special provisions in the contract to buy my home that the washer and dryer be install prior to closing (I wnated to make sure it was there and able to use for move in). They came and brought it in. The delivery guys were not happy to have driven 14 miles to my house from town. I moved in two weeks later. As norm, I wanted to make sure everything was off to a clean start. I filled the washer and turned it on. It overfilled and kept on pumping water till I killed the breaker. It never drained. I should also mention that it was set on cold and the water was scalding hot. The installers installed it backwards. When I called on Monday, I was told that they had no idea when they could fit me in. I waited a week and called back. I was told that it was not their fault that I moved out in the country, I would have to wait. I call a week later. I was told that someone would call when they were on their way out. Four days later I received a message saying thst someone was sitting at my house waiting. I skipped work and headed for home, alll the while trying to call back. I had a neighbor head over to let them in. They were not there when the neighbor came, 10 minutes later. They were not there when I arrived 35 minutes later. I was concerned. I called the business to make sure he was okay and was sent to voicemail. When I called the next day I was told that I could not get a call out for a month because I did not show. I started to show up at the business everyday to try to get it fixed. Two weeks later, someone came out, took forty minutes and told me it was broken. When I asked when it would be fixed the guy told me he had to check. He told me he would call. I called three days later and was told the smae od story, "Sorry Lady, we will fit you in when we can." Several phone calls and 10 days later someone else comes out. He says, "this is the part we need, let me see if they want to order it." Remember that I have children in a new house and no laudry service. I also have a bunch of dirty water sitting in a washer in my home. Kinda smelly! Finally, I call the comapany and say that I would just like them to come pickup the machines and give me my money back and be done. After being transfered several times, the man told me, "We are not in the business of taking things back. You will just have to wait" I conntacted bbb and the county attorney Suddenly, they showed up to pick up the dfective washer and gave me a check for the purchase price only (minus delivery and install). They wouldnt take the dryer back, even though I bought them as a set.. Just Beware unless you are SUPER handy and dont mind buying stuff thst doesnt work and will not be serviced.

Poor service

Ok, so I know summer means ac units that don't work but when you need to get them fixed, you expect a timely return. We dropped off ours on July 6 and called every other week and were meet with one excuse after another. It took them until September 7 for them to finish it, then wanted full payment. Had to pay to get it back. I will never get even a toaster repaired there.
