Tidewater Staffing

I was interviewed via telephone by Sean Banks of Tide WaterStaffing /Chesapeake, Va. I am a traveling tradesman residing in another state. Sean Banks promised to send me to client that was working on the USS Enterprise decommisioning at the Naval Base. Sean Banks further sweetened the pot by stating that I could expect "enormous over time" as Id be "on the ship"..He further went on to promise that TWS would pay me X amount per hour, plus a per diem for all hours worked plus cover my hotel expenses for the 1st 2 weeks of my employment until I started gaining ground financially.
I traveled more than 12 hours from out of state, spenty 2 days in a mandatory 10 hour Maritime OSHA class that I was NOT paid for, then after another week, reported to the client as instructed by Sean Banks, only to learn upon my arrival to the client location that I would NOT be working on the Enterprise project, but rather would be working in the Fab Shop, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I learned also that there would be NO PER DIEM, and the cost of the hotel for the 2 weeks would be deducted from my check !!!
My last check as upon learning all this, I turned in my notice after working from Monday to Thursday and went back home, was a mere $1.70..(And as of the date of this posting, havent even received this check as its now more than a week over due from being mailed to my home of record.) Thats right folks !! ONE DOLLAR & SEVENTY CENTS !! They deducted the 2 weeks of my hotel stay...They kept that promise I assure you, but failed to keep the other promises he made !!
Lesson here... If your a traveling tradesman like myself, STAY AWAY from TIDE WATER STAFFING & SEAN BANKS !!
Im giving serious consideration to not only filing a claim against them with the BBB, but also filing a claim against them in civil court for breach of verbal contract...
Again...STAY AWAY FROM TIDE WATER STAFFING AND SEAN BANKS !
