Hawkeye Landscaping

I really wish I could give these guys a higher review, but I can't at this point. We contacted them at the recommendation of our real estate agent after moving into a new house. The previous owner had let the yard go a little unloved for some time, so we asked Tony to help us clean it up. He did a great job with the landscaping and a preliminary clearing in our backyard which borders some woods that had become overgrown. However, after the initial visits, he became nearly impossible to work with. He still owed us treatments to our lawn including seeding the area he cleared and other bare spots. This never ended up happening and he essentially started ignoring us. I think his plan was to never come back at all until our real estate agent told him she couldn't recommend him anymore if he didn't. Alas, the job was never really completed, our yard still looks bad compared to our neighbors, and now we'll have to pay more money to finally get the seed we want. Takes jobs he's too busy to do.

home advisor referred this company. They scheduled an appointment then after waiting at home he rescheduled it. Then showed up at the second appointment late. I hired Tony to do the work. I didn't realize I was supposed to give a total stranger money for materials in hopes he would show up and do the work when he kept changing the times. After going back and forth with him he decided that since I didn't buy the mulch he recommended I couldn't afford the job and he couldn't work with me. This is not good business.

We had Hawkeye Landscaping come and do a good deal of work in our backyard. Tony was very knowledgeable, kept in communication, showed up when he said he would, cleaned up after themselves and was reasonable priced.

We had them remove a stump, install some drainage, grade the yard and install sod.

They went above and beyond to make our previously non-functional yard something that will work for our family.
