The Flat Takeaway Creperie

My business requires that I go to Charlottesville about 2x a month. I actually look forward to the trips for one reason - The Flat! The crepes are absolutely delicious and the portions are more than generous. They have everything from Chicken and asparagus to apples and arugula. One of the most refreshing dessert crepes is the berries and creme. But, my absolute favorite of all is the Crepe Suzette, which is drowned in butter, brown sugar and REAL GRAND MARNIER! If you are just passing through and want to give it a quick try, pick the crepe with lemon and sugar, it's only $2.



Part of the charm is that you simply walk up to the "window" of this absolute hole-in-the-wall building that is no more than 10 feet wide! The crepes are so authentic, you would think you were in France, except the owner and staff are actually nice to you....



Be prepared to wait a bit. Everything is made to order and there's usually a line.
