Charlotte Secondary School

Looking for a small public high school or middle school? My son has been at Charlotte Secondary School for 6th, 7th & 8th grades and it has been his favorite school. Small classes (20 per class, 4 classes per grade) and the welcoming environment have been a real plus. The teachers go out of their way to engage students and it feels like a community. We are looking forward to ninth grade next year!

This is a great school for helping your child find his "inner student." Prior to his enrollment here, my son was content to simply "move through the school year, accepting whatever grades were the easiest to achieve. Now, with the help of teachers who just do not accept that kind of attitude, he enjoys school and wants to do his best. Her told me "it's fun being a good student." Yes, the work is challenging, but so is this world, and it's never too early to start learning how to deal with challenges that life presents.
