Knotty Pine Lodge

I contemplated writing this review because I am NOT the kind of person to be negative in any way. However, this is my last resort.
We booked in January to have our wedding this August. I paid the $2,000 deposit the day we officially booked.
With everything going on, we took a large financial impact, therefore we could not afford the other $2,500 by August. The offered to move the wedding to another date next year. But we have family how are very ill, therefore we could not delay the wedding an entire year.
When I asked if they would consider a refund, they stated under no circumstances do they give out refunds (however, we have two kids and did not expect a PANDEMIC to happen during the time we are having our WEDDING.)
Now, we are out $2,000, while struggling with two kids at home during a worldwide pandemic, and the owners (who claim to have thousands or acres of property and would not be the least bit financially impacted- refuse to return us our money and are going to pocket that, as well as re-book our date and pocket $4,500 from another couple.
Poor business and a sad day. Our wedding is supposed to be the happiest days of our lives. However, we did not receive a bit of compassion from these owners.
